Scott Walker emerging as main challenger to Jeb Bush in Republican field
The Telegraph ^ | 17 Feb 2015 | Raf Sanchez

Scott Walker, the little-known governor of Wisconsin, is emerging as the main challenger to Jeb Bush in the race to become the Republicans' 2016 presidential candidate.

While Mr Bush is raising tens of millions of dollars and attracting huge media attention across the country, polls indicate a quiet momentum is building for the more conservative Mr Walker.

The 47-year-old governor is trailing Mr Bush by just a few points in the polls in Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina - the three early voting states that will shape the course of the Republican primary election.

While the 62-year-old Mr Bush, the younger brother of George W Bush, is a favourite among the Republican elite, the younger Mr Walker may turn into a rallying figure for the more conservative party base.

An NBC/Marist poll found Mr Bush on 16 per cent in Iowa compared to Mr Walker's 15 per cent.

Three much talked-about Republican senators - Marco Rubio of Florida, Ted Cruz of Texas and Rand Paul of Kentucky - all failed to break into double digits in the Iowa poll.

Great news! Go Governor Walker. Thank you for trying to help our country even with all the naysayers and jerks who lie about you constantly.

This is excellent. I think there is no one better based on his record and his ability to win against the worst Democrats throw at him. He also is positioned well to win the vote of the common man which is very important. I think he could succeed in getting some of our more disaffected voters to turn out.

I’m backing the conservative with the best positions on amnesty, legal immigration, illegal immigration, and border security. Right now, I see that candidate as Cruz. If someone can convince me otherwise, I’m all ears. Meanwhile, I’m backing Cruz 100%.

They will frame this as a contest between Bush and Walker and pretend Cruz doesn’t exist.

Then Bush will choose Walker as his running mate to get the conservatives on board. Worked for McCain with Palin.

Except it won’t work with me. For me, its Cruz. Cruz/Walker, Cruz/Palin, Cruz/whattayagot.

If I have to write it in.

Some pundits/media call Walker a conservative. Others call him establishment.

So, which is he?

those that support him, it is best to make a monthly donation because most of us can’t match the big dollar donations of the establishment. If you are undecided right now, make multiple smaller donations to multiple candidates you support.

You might only have 20 dollars a month you can donate, hey, 2.50 a month by hundreds of donations is still a major boost.

I don’t do credit card, you know they get charged a percentage for each transaction, but anything is better than nothing.

Your state might allow you to make a donation that is a tax credit, like Oregon State.

Gee, kinda like all the freepers in 2012 who told us the primary was between "Rick Perry" and "Mitt Romney" (Gov. Perry is THE anti-Romney candidate and we MUST all "get behind" him to "stop" Romney) and the freepers in 2008 who told us the primary was between "Rudy" and "Fred" (if you're NOT for The Fred, you're supported RINO Rudy)...

Doesn't feel so good now that the candidates YOU'RE not enthusiastic about are presented as the ONLY options, does it?

I like Cruz.

He is a talker and a good one.

Walker is a doer and has significant accomplishments, including turning a significant deficit into a surplus, stood up and beat the liberal unions who were funding the democrats with taxpayer money (out of the pockets of teachers), passed concealed carry, pro life laws, etc.

Walker is a fighter for the benefit of taxpayers who stood up to the bullies and beat them badly.

Don’t sell Walker short. We need a fighter for the people.

This is the script that is being played out by the GOPe.

Scott Walker’s going to make it, but he’ll be no better than George Bush Jr. in governing (that means that we’ll see a string of “conservative” sellouts from this guy, and gnashing of teeth on this website).

I like Walker. As long as his running mate is clearly a conservative, and convincingly not an open-borders guy.

Which means, not Jeb.

I’d prefer Cruz lead the ticket, but I like Walker. I won’t accept Jeb under any circumstance. I’m not really joking when I suggest a master move by him would be to team with Hillary: Bush/Clinton. versus Cruz/Walker would be nice.

Cruz/West

No Amnesty Candidates.

Amnesty is any changing of the laws to benefit Fraudulently Documented Foreigners and their employers.
