As the saying goes, “If you love your job, you will never work a day in your life.”
Some people are fortunate enough to get paid well for doing something they love.
Unlike you, most of them realize they have been blessed, or have been very lucky.
Most people have to work jobs they don't like, because they need a paycheck.
I've worked in manufacturing for decades, and the number of employees who “enjoy” their jobs is less than 5%.
And that 5% includes manufacturing managers, who must deal every day with large numbers of people who openly dislike their jobs.
I have all kinds of “productive” interests outside of work.
I'm a lifelong distance runner, but never good enough to earn a living at it.
I'm an avid reader, and I am better informed on a wider range of subjects than any person I have ever known, but I'm not good enough to make a living on “Jeopardy.”
