Go ahead and hate Axelrod all you like.

He is a Leftist ideologue, a Socialist. And he has realized that as the concept of a Republic starts to go into terminal failure and begins to move toward a pure federalized democracy, manipulation of the "minds" (LOL) of the voters becomes paramount, and of course if that doesn't work, there's always manipulation of the vote.

A few million complaining "conservatives" don't mean much to him. That's because unlike the Left, "conservatives," "republicans," constitutionalists, or whatever TH you want to call US, have no Program, no Plan, and no Leader. Furthermore, in the urban areas that swing the big states in federal elections, we have few votes! Get angry all you want, if it makes you feel better ... but our anger also makes Axelrod feel great!

Axelrod also knows that those Republicans in office are necessary as a pro-forma opposition, but that when the chips are down, they will sell their votes to his party. The only real federal debate left is the price of the sellout. Right now, following the "Republican Takeover" of Congress, the GOPe is demanding a rather high price for their stage-managed opposition .... and getting it.

Forget Federal, my "conservative" friends. Take over your town, your county, your state, your school-board. If the constitution has any chance of survival, that survival will come from the states.
