FCC, FEC look to ruin the Internet
The Washington Times ^ | 2/16/15 | Tammy Bruce

The left lifts its boot toward the free flow of information

We knew this was coming. Within the last couple of weeks, both the Federal Communications Commission and the Federal Election Commission declared their intention to regulate the Internet. Fascists always explain their actions as efforts to either make something more efficient, “fair,” or to supposedly “protect” their target. Sometimes they simply lie, like saying they’re nationalizing health insurance to make it more affordable and to increase access to health care.

Now, with the feds’ latest effort, their new slogan might as well be, “If you like your Internet, you can keep your Internet.” Make no mistake: The Internet is under assault and saving it is up to us.

Again the FCC has no legal or lawful authority.

I don't understand how 3 people at the FCC can implement Chinese style censorship for the entire Internet?

This is all about censorship, tax and control.

Never mind the super majority of people are against this.

Federal Communications Commission and the Federal Election Commission declared their intention to regulate the Internet.

No to Warder boarding the Internet!

The "Fairness Doctrine" did not regulate what people said.. it just made it very, very expensive for the radio station owners to broadcast conservative opinion. All the liberal shills had to do was complain to the FCC and if the station owners refused to give free equal on-air time the station owner would lose his license.

Think about it: The sheeple emerging from the liberal academies around the country in the 1960s and ‘70s didn’t move to the countryside to smoke pot and raise puppies. No, they went into media. They became writers, reporters and television news anchors.

Hey! That's what Abe told me.. and not just the media of course.

The fault is ours. Abe will explain from "the other side."

You initiated a policy to tolerate the Marxist-Alinsky radicals and let them rant; not only has it not ceased but was constantly augmented by decades of infiltration and indoctrination. You now have two Americas. In my opinion, it will not cease until a crisis shall have been reached and passed. A house divided against itself cannot stand. I believe this government cannot endure, permanently, half statist and half free; I do not expect the house to fall; but I do expect it will cease to be divided. It will become all one thing, or all the other.

RE: Fairness Doctrine

A good friend of Obama's and part of the aged 1960s Marxist-Alinsky campus radical, psycho spoiled brats and their ideological litter has already defined a kind of Fairness Doctrine to Obama -- and he used Free Republic as the target.

This from Obama's good friend and former czar:

Here's how President Obama's head of the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs and author of "Repulblic.com," Cass Sunstein, describes FreeRepublic.com as "group polarization," where people segregate themselves so effectively online with other like-minded thinkers that they create an echo chamber where the group's worst and most malevolent opinions get reinforced and strengthened. "We might want to consider," Sunstein startlingly told the Times recently, "the possibility of ways of requiring or encouraging sites to link to opposing viewpoints."

And if they did not comply he as czar wanted the fetters to make them comply.

He recently left the Administration and is now an employee of Harvard I believe.

The GOP needs to stand up and say “NO”.

Loudly, firmly, and over and over.

“NO”.

I would not count on the GOP leadership at the RNC. They are working for the DNC as far as I’m concerned.

First Barry Hussein brought you Obamacare!

Now Barry is going to do the Internet what he did for Healthcare.

That's right folks.

We will soon surf the:

OBAMANET...!

The greatest invention since the printing press and soon the FedGov will control it from top to bottom.

What could go wrong?

(Well, besides everything...)

I think the deadline is Feb 26 for this vote. Glad a major media source picked this up. We could see the end of Internet come Feb 26. Only 2 GOP and 3 dummies, and I bet the dummies will vote for censorship.

Do you REALLY think the phrase is “WADER board” or was that just a typo?

What I typed in was warder

No to Warder boarding the Internet!

Warder is a word for guard or watcher of a gate.

I do not want to see a guard going aboard the Internet --

even if it merely functions as I remember the "Fairness Doctrine" functioned; to wit, you could broadcast conservative opinion but you will pay a hefty price if liberals file complaints.
