I’m with Rush on this one. I don’t think the shut down hurt Republicans as badly as the pundits and left claimed. Having said that, there’s no reason we have to settle for getting the blame as long as we explain to voters that we passed the essentials and if there’s any shut down it’s because the president vetoed the bill.
This is another instance of Republicans playing too nice with Democrats. We hear Democrats blaming Republicans all the time and we don’t hear Republicans putting the blame where it belongs, on the Democrats.
It sounds like only DHS would put 10% of there people out and call that a shutdown.
As you well know messaging is always the big issue. How to do it. If we use our own messaging system-The New Media-- which is talk radio the internet and a few nets that get it we have a shot. Depending on the drivebys to get our message out is sheer folly.
