Yeah but remember the overall reason for even watching this pathetic array of supposed news shows. It's solely to know what your enemy is thinking and what they are up to next.

Just to be clear, Deash did NOT capture the Al-Asad air base. The base is several miles outside of the city of Al-Baghadidi, which Deash has taken part of. I talked to a friend last night who is still an active duty Air Force colonel, and you should expect to see some SERIOUS push back real soon. A couple of brigades and a fighter wing is on it’s way to Kuwait now. Obama is worried about the optics, and the US Military is pissed about Deash coming close to and threatening our guys. Payback IS coming!

It was cold in the Tampa Bay area yesterday. Today, it will be 70, but it'll be cold midweek. (OK, I know New England would love highs of 60... but its cold here....)

My niece had a baby boy yesterday. Another conservative on the planet... :-)

Great post buddy!

We remain in a trust but verify mode. It's a long war with two steps forward and one step back but it has to be fought.

Bray made an interesting post where he stated that just like NY,Illinois,Fla., and many other "blue" states once you leave the big cities and get out in to fly-over land you suddenly find that conservatism rules.

This is one of the reasons why val/jar is trying her best to bring one million third worlders into Texas before the are thrown out of office.

If the regime can change Texas from red to blue its all over except the shouting.

The amazing truth is much of the country is conservative. It's the big cities with all their crime, corruption, and something for nothing mentality that brings the rest down.

Thanks for that added info. I am very concerned to say the least our force protection has been inadequate. I’d said before we need 10,000 Troops to protect our embassy in Baghdad, and 30,000 to protect Baghdad. And I should clarify, I mean highly trained US Troops, not coalition ‘in training’.

This regime has excelled in lying so well that the word truth has no place in anything they do or say.

I’m even past trust but verify. The sheer number of lies 0zero and the Democrat Brotherhood has told ruined any trust I might have. Today it’s more of a ‘prove your not lying and worthy’ kind of mind set.

0zero has not enforced past laws so what makes anyone believe he will all of a sudden start enforcing anything past by congress today? We don’t need to give 0zero any more ammunition to betray voters, Republicans or citizens. He has enough authority now, today. Whether it’s ISIS, unemployment or 0bamacare, no more laws. Just shut him and the funding down.

Back to the gummit shutdown fear. When was anyone punished politically from a shutdown and who says there would not be support from a large piece of their voting block.

The only people who are bothered by the shutdown are the media and DC.

I’m with Rush on this one. I don’t think the shut down hurt Republicans as badly as the pundits and left claimed. Having said that, there’s no reason we have to settle for getting the blame as long as we explain to voters that we passed the essentials and if there’s any shut down it’s because the president vetoed the bill.

This is another instance of Republicans playing too nice with Democrats. We hear Democrats blaming Republicans all the time and we don’t hear Republicans putting the blame where it belongs, on the Democrats.

No problem at all! The situation in Iraq regarding Daesh is very troubling, and the recent activity is dangerous for our guys, as explained here: Missing the big picture at Al-Assad air base

The writer of the article is a retired Navy Intelligence Captain and pro-American conservative.

The truth of the matter is that Daesh is NOT a premier military force, and if our guys are allowed to go off their leashes and confront them they will utterly defeat them. The sad fact is that Obama won't let them because he won in 2008 condemning Bush for Iraq and he doesn't want history to view him as a hypocrite. Too late!!!

Seriously, though, everything out of Washington is done for political reasons--no regard for the future of the Republic, just how can I or my colleagues keep winning and stay in office? This applies to BOTH parties.

Am I wrong?

It sounds like only DHS would put 10% of there people out and call that a shutdown.

The Fox news show is disgusting. None of the supposed pundits seem to comprehend what is at stake with DHS funding and the impact Obama's unconstitutional actions have on the American worker and taxpayer.

Legalizing at least 5 million lawbreakers, giving them SSNs, which allows them to compete legally with US workers and depress wages, and providing them with other benefits like EITC will cost taxpayers billions of dollars.

This should be a winning issue for Reps who should be discussing substance and not process. The GOP should state publicly that they are the defenders of the Constitution, American workers, and taxpayers. They should paint the Dems as being more concerned about the "rights" of lawbreakers whose actions are destroying the middle class than they are about the American people.

We are watching a kabuki dance orchestrated by Boehner and McConnell. They are going to cave. They devised this strategy in order to pass the budget when they took over. They postponed any confrontation with the WH, just as they have done in the past. It is simply disgusting.
