By Peter Dominiczak, 13 Feb 2015 Obese people could have their benefits stripped if they refuse treatment in a bid to ensure they can lead a “fulfilling life”, David Cameron has said.
A Conservative government will attempt to ensure that tens of thousands of people who claim welfare on the grounds of obesity, drug or alcohol addiction are “incentivised” to go back to work, the Prime Minister said. Mr Cameron said that taxpayers should no longer “fund the benefits” of people who refuse to accept the treatment that could help them get back into employement.
He has asked Professor Dame Carol Black, a senior Government adviser of health, to conduct a review into how best to get people with treatable conditions back into work. The review will focus on how to incentivise the people to get back to work and consider whether their benefits should be stopped if they refuse treatment.

Take the “benefits” out of these fatsos and watch the pounds melt away, literally. The biggest incentive that these obese people need is a hit in the bank account and the obligation to work for a chance.
Hahaha, another stupid government program... Sure, require them to accept treatment. All of them will. To keep their benefits. But will they comply with the treatment? The government’s demand is that they “accept” treatment, not that they succeed at it. And things continue as before, except the taxpayer is out the cost of the “treatment.”

Might work for the obesity, but that would drive anyone to drink!
Get the fat people..Strip their benefits and if they fail to comply take their driver licenses and seize their tax returns.
This is coming from the Conservative party though, not Labour. So I don’t think fatties and addicts on the dole are their primary constituents.
They can have my double cheese burger when they pry it from my cold dead hands!

I wonder what Orwell would say about the use of the word conservative to describe Cameron’s government.
And ironic - those in danger of being deemed too expensive to keep alive are the same ones who make the most of the government teat. Turn your life over to a 'benevolent" government and become as livestock - exist only at the pleasure of your owners.
