I don’t believe this image is correct. The Arabic definitely looks wrong to me. Can you please explain why you believe that this image is correct?

The Arabic is wrong. The Arabic corresponding to just the invocation transliterated as "Bismillah" and Englished as "In the Name of God" (or "In the Name of Allah" if one is accepting or pretending to accept the Mohammedan notion that the Arabic word for God is the proper name of the unique existing deity) is

بسم الله

(Mind, you that's not the whole phrase called "the Bismillah" which Englishes as "In the Name of God, the All-Gracious, the All-Merciful" but that is

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

Again nothing at all like the ancient Greek numerals for the number of the Beast in the Apocalypse of St. John.

I corrected javie on this before but he or she ignored me and continues to post the graphic. Even the Greek is wrong: the ancient Greek numerals for 666 are indeed chi, xi, digamma, but there is no harpoon-like mark over the xi and no dot to the right of the digamma.

Quite frankly I think it reflects badly on us here at Free Republic to get things like this wrong. There is reason enough to consider Islam to be governed by a spirit of Antichrist without resorting to transparent falsehoods to supposedly support the point, and I wish javie would stop posting that graphic.
