HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP)
Newly elected Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf is imposing a moratorium on the death penalty. He calls the state's current system of capital punishment "error-prone, expensive and anything but infallible."
The Democrat had announced during his fall campaign he intended to issue such an order.
Wolf said Friday the moratorium will remain in effect at least until he receives a report from a legislative commission that's been studying the topic for about four years.

I’m sure the abortions will keep on going though. No moratorium there...
Wouldn’t want to put Mumia Abu-Jamal in any danger...Oh why not just let him go! Didn’t he promise he was through with killin’ ? /SARCASM
Although he did campaign on this, and the people voted him in anyway. Can’t say he was dishonest. If our crime rates now spike voters need to look in the mirror.
Nitrogen Asphyxiation:
Strap in the condemned
Put on a brain wave monitors
Put on a breathing mask hooked up to 99% pure Nitrogen (welding gas)
Turn on the nitrogen
Wait till the brain waves are flat
Condemned simply passes out and dies
Prosecutors are so corrupt, I am favorably disposed to support a death penalty in many cases. As for Mumia, hang his aas.
The death penalty is never enforced in Pa. The last execution was about 40 years ago. This is a joke.
I believe Government is mostly inept & that includes when it comes to capital punishment. Especially when one sees how many people have been exonerated in recent times.
Baw, too complicated. One word solution: guillotine
The guillotine is VERY complicated, especially when you consider the “cruel and unusual punishment” lawyers filing lawsuit after lawsuit.
Nice, I like it!
So try it out first on the lawyers ...
Actually, 3 people were executed between 1995 and 2000, all under the progressive republican Governor Tom Ridge (original head of DHS).
That was all over his ads. Even the Pennsyljerseyans that voted for this unnatural fellow will suffer because of him.
Never mind Eric Frein, presuming a guilty verdict.
