ISIS fighters seized most of Ramadi – where 300 US Marines are stationed training Iraqi Forces.
Al-Asad base is near the city – where 300 Marines are stationed.
The US Marines at Al-Asad airbase has been under frequent attack since January.
But today ISIS seized large swaths of the city.

Do you have any idea of the kind of numbers and skill it would take to over run 300 very angry Marines, all of which love the idea that there are 300 of them?
ISIS don’t pack the gear to do it. And that’s not braggadocio, its very real.

about to find out what happens when you come up
against professionals.

I no longer give Hoft the benefit of the doubt.
ISIS hasn’t fought anyone real. They are essentially an armed banditry. They seem strong as they roll into towns and commit mass murder.
Their main stock in trade has been mobility and speed and shock. Terrifying to the kind of resistance they encounter so far. It really wont work against the most deadly infantry to walk on planet earth.
I imagine it would take thousands and thousands and multiple attempts.
Bottom line is we have no idea what the ragheads are throwing at them.
Do they have MANPADS to counter air power?
The base has been harassed by mortar fire repeatedly for the last two months.
That means limited perimeter control, not to mention continuous enemy recon and observation of the base in order to plan the most effective attack they can.
That means that the enemy can get close, and if they time their attack and come in sufficient number, it’s the Alamo 2015.
I wonder how much you can tie the hands of Marines you abandon? If attacked, Obama has to let the military unleash aerial hell and support them. Because if they are abandoned (they wont be) they would absolutely never surrender to ISIS,,,,period, no matter what orders are given.
And I don’t even believe the military would leave them to be over run no matter what the Kenya wants.

Mine is much simpler:
1) If its carrying a weapon it dies.
2) No prisoners.
3) Any doubt, refer to #1.

Are my eyes failing me, or are those so called news reports dated Feb. 25? WTH?!

Never happen. ISIS has no record of any willingness to sustain monstrous losses to assault an objective. The Chicoms would, the VC would, the Japanese would.
They don’t have the skill and the guts. They appear 10 feet tall when they are standing in towns, making pronouncements, and executing helpless people. They have had their asses handed to them by the Kurds in direct battle, the closest thing to a real force to fight them.
ANd as they approached Baghdad, they hit one compound with US Special Forces in it at night and were obliterated.
God help our Marines!

Once upon a time, you could bank on that statement.
Lots of communist, homosexual, and moslem infiltration in the White House and Officer Corps since 2008.
All bets are off.
They dont have thousands.
But they might have chemicals. There are a bunch of those things laying around.
Consider the $hit storm for Obama if that happens.
Its as if the administration is looking for a reason.
