UN warns that Yemen 'is collapsing before our eyes'

Efforts were underway on a draft Security Council resolution to address the crisis in the Arab world's poorest country. Britain and Jordan were working on a resolution that British Ambassador Mark Lyall Grant said would be ready "in the next few days."

A separate draft resolution by the Gulf Coordination Council of Arab states on the Persian Gulf, obtained by The Associated Press, strongly condemns the Houthis and their seizure of power and demands that they "immediately and unconditionally withdraw their forces from government institutions and from all regions under their control."

The draft also demands that the Houthis "return government and security institutions to the state's authority," release all people under house arrest and return weapons seized from military and security institutions. The draft acts under Chapter 7 of the U.N. Charter, meaning it can be militarily enforced.

Exactly. YEMEN, Nero’s definition of Success.

Can’t wait to see what he and the rest of the J.V. team come up with their final agreement with Iran.

So, don’t look.

Obama foreign policy: “If a tree falls in the woods and the alphabet lamestream media never reports it... it didn’t happen!”

Look at the map. Yemen shares a long border with Saudi Arabia. For some reason beyond my comprehension Saudi Arabia is our ally. Add to that, the US has been training Yemeni forces friendly to us. They've got weapons, they have advanced training, do they have drones?

And the US is still arming friendly Arabs. I have no clue why we're arming anyone except the Kurds....and even that could be a problem if they bring the fight to the Turks.

And you've got maniacs particularly in the US Senate who seem to be supporting the McCain doctrine, which is arm crazy people.

The draft also demands that the Houthis “return government and security institutions to the state’s authority,” release all people under house arrest and return weapons seized from military and security institutions

I see they went to the Barack Obama School of How To Wage Warfare............

From what I read last night, CENTCOM is considering approaching the Houthi leadership because we still have special forces in country working with both Houthi and Hadi loyalists to fight Al Qeada.

I’m not sure how close the Houthi are with Iran despite all the agendas declaring it. After all, a lot of Shiites in Iraq are exiles from Iran. Al Sistani in Iran is one of those who was driven out of Iran during the revolution.

The whole mideast is a mess of shifting alliances and people playing both sides of the fence.

Exactly what is the difference between a collapse and a non collapse in Yemen? How do you tell which is which?

“We invested half a billion bucks and 10 years of military aid to help give Yemen a stable government....”

.
Sheesh America, wake up.

Where, in any muzzie country, have our waste of tax dollars been of any value in establishing a stable government?

Even after 1400 years of human history, stability and Islam is a total oxymoron and we, arrogant Americans, still think that we are smart enough to change that fact.

And to make matters even worse, we now ask these barbarians to share our country. We can, from now on, expect only disasterous results.

All because Imam Obama wants to make a nuclear treaty with Iran.

Iran told Obama 'Hands Off' Yemen or no deal.

U.N. officials were quoted as saying that if the draft resolution didn’t have the intended effect they were fully prepared to draft another one.

The UN should pass a resolution to stop this. That’ll fix it.
