Well the airline couldn't let those Marines on board with weapons, for heaven's sake! They might take over the plane!

Who gave the order to disarm our Marines?
To: Timber Rattler
Maybe not......Yet by running away they did give them Yemen. So what is the count now? Iraq, Syria and Yemen? Fortunately Egypt had the balls to fight back.

Umm, I’ll wait for the pictures. With this government, you can never be sure. Regardless, why did this happen anyway? I have heard it was because they were taking civilian transport. Was that true? Has this disarmed evacuation happened before?

To: TexasCajun
Dunno, but the word from Pentagon reporters is that the CENTCOM brass is mighty pissed off about it.

Another “politically correct” mpve from a U.S. State Dept that has $hit for brains.

But why were they taking civilian transport? Why couldn’t we evacuate our own personnel? Area saturated in, oh, I don’t know... what could it be? Benghazi MANPADS, maybe?

Just a guess, but who in the State Dept. gave the order for Marines to be disarmed?
This stinks.

I looked up the DoD and USMC contact info today to call and give a bit of my nail-spitting anger to someone.
Then, I calmed down and prayed that a 4-star would make a nail-spitting memo more tolerable, after a few drafts of the PR spoxbot.

The weapons bodies, minus the bolts, were then separately smashed with sledgehammers. All of these destroyed components were left at the airport -- Ha...high tensile IED's coming to a neighborhood near you.

Everything in the military is done with an advance plan or contingency plan. Back in the 1930s, the US had a strategic plan for war against the UK. Wasn’t needed, wasn’t used, but the planning was done anyway.
When I was an artillery missile platoon leader, we had a plan and a technical manual and an Army Reg for destroying the nuclear warheads with a shaped charge explosive. There were specific reports required after having done it, too.
