This guy sang a song in the show the other day. The auto tuner was on MAX.... and he was still TERRIBLE. I mean this guy couldn’t carry a tune if it had a handle on it.

It’s kind of cool seeing Beck win as I actually like his music, I had pretty much figured award shows and artistic integrity were mutually exclusive items but I’m glad to be wrong.
This garbage award show gave this stiff K. West 21 Grammys by the time he was 36 years old.
This is like a fly being upset that a pile of crap just isn’t smelly enough.

There’s this thing called “selling out” which involves things like auto-tune, armies of staff, and huge marketing budgets, which is all about trying to make people feel good so that they will part with money. Artistic integrity very seldom has anything to do with it, and if you get a ton of money for the work you do, you have to figure you have had your reward.
Ground-breaking art is seldom widely appreciated the first time people see or hear it, it usually takes some getting used to. Many of our greatest artists died alone and broke, not recognized until they were dead and therefore past caring. I’d like to see an award show to recognize people like that!

Kanye, there’s already an award that favors the most popular artists: People’s Choice Award. The Grammy is supposed to be ignoring popularity and really aiming at the best. I don’t think it actually does, but that’s a different discussion.
I think him rushing the stage again was just a publicity stunt this time. ever hear his music. I like rap but his is awful.
