What is significant is that it was a political decision and that just a few short years ago politicians were afraid the culture wasn’t ready for same sex marriage. Suddenly, we have a Scotus trying to tell us that the culture has flipped, and it’s only right for them to impose same sex marriage on us by judicial fiat.
This is directly in the face of vote upon vote by the people who have as a collective body said they do NOT want their culture to change in such a harmful direction.
Hear that: DESPITE VOTES of individuals in great masses and state-by-state, the only reason this is before the Scotus in the first place is because judges are over-ruling “We the People”.
That said, it is entirely rational for citizens to reject such a change in their culture. Additionally, the Constitution leaves such a decision to the states or to the people. The people have spoken.

And I ask, how can anyone who professes to be a Christian give such a response? How can anyone who is a Christ follower not only support homosexuality, but go way, way over the top to advocate and push for its practice. In fact, Obama is now making homosexuality a cornerstone of his foreign policy. And in so doing, he disgraces this once great country.
So Obama lies about being a Christian as he lied about his kinetic passion to not only support, but to promote the practice of homosexuality.
Obama is a fraud, a con man, and a liar.
You are preaching the gospel. The push for homosexual marriage strikes me as designed to remove the legal distinction between men and women. Homosexual marriage is a big step towards getting rid of those archaic "baby boy" or "baby girl" designations that are put on the birth certificates.
I think that's the real goal. We're already seeing the push for the unisex restrooms, so I don't think I'm being crazy here.
The fact that the libs will get incest, pedophelia, bestiality, and three (or four or five...) way marriage thrown in is just icing on the cake for them.

The sad thing is the trends in the popular voting referendums aren’t positive. For instance, North Carolina passing its amendment by 61% in 2012. Sounds like a great victory, right? But that is only where CA was when it passed prop. 22 by 61% in 2000.
If you would have told someone in 2000 that in 12 years NC would be where CA is on the issue, they would have called the guys with the big butterfly nets to collect you. In 2008 CA passed prop. 8 by 52%, losing 9% in 8 years on the issue. In 20 years I don’t think there is a state anywhere that couldn’t just repeal their amendment by a popular vote, at least if the trend continues. Not that our black robed masters are ever going to let that happen. But if I can see the trend in actual voting measures, you can bet political slime can see it too.
