Fox News anchor Greta Van Susteren thinks MSNBC's liberal host Rachel Maddow would be a fine fit to replace Brian Williams as anchor of NBC's "Nightly News."
"How about a woman?" wrote Van Susteren on her Gretawire blog Wednesday. "My suggestion: Rachel Maddow. Whether you agree with her or not, she will stir things up and provoke a debate. She is also the right price — she is already on the payroll!"
Van Susteren's suggestion comes in light of news that Brian Williams has been suspended for six months as anchor and managing editor of NBC's "Nightly News."
Van Susteren wrote that NBC News should experiment with its newscast format, perhaps mirroring cable news where commentary and debate take precedence.

Maddow’s a woman?
I was watching CNN this morning ( I’m a spy behind the lines) and they were bemoaning John Stewart was leaving, especially since he was at the top of his game. And there was no one else who could puyt down Fox News and conservatives as well as he could. And what would the young people do who do not watch mainstream news go for their news and commentary.Then they went on to speculate what he would doing, like going back to acting or something.
And then they started talking about who would be a good replacement for Brian Williams. They mentioned Tina Fey (barf) and Amy Poehler.
Then one guy said, Brian Williams.
There you go. They can’t tell the difference between a nightly news program and a Comedy Network Show.
Greta, how sexist of you, don’t you think it’s time you should put this old fashioned idea of male and female aside and champion a transexual for the job? How about maybe someone that isn’t overt in their politics presenting the news? Let’s dump all this smiley chit chat party atmosphere that is going on during most news programs.

I refer to all the MSM ‘news’ as Reality News, and our low information generation haven’t any idea how to sort out the difference nor are they inclined to do so.
I do a music post on another forum. There is a good reason why I rarely post anything later than the 90’s......actually the 80’s. I’m sure there is some very fine pop music being made today, but I just can’t dig through all the crap to find it.
You should have been around when I did the Top 10 of 2014 on New Years Eve at the FReeper Canteen. I caught hell for posting such dark stuff at FR. I won’t do it again next year.
Brian has the same problem.
