The increase in numbers of American children diagnosed with autism is frightening. Autism cases have skyrocketed between 20 and 30 fold since the early 1970s, according to the Centers for Disease Control.
In 2014, the CDC released a report stating that one child in 68 had autism, a 30 percent increase from only two years earlier. For boys, the risk was even worse — one in 42.
The condition, which causes difficulty communicating and limited social skills, was so rare in past generations that the term autism wasn't even used in the modern sense until 1938. Autism wasn't classified as a specific illness until the late 1960s.
As the numbers of victims began to rise, desperate parents searched for help — and for answers. Doctors were as clueless as the parents about the cause. Many parents believed their children were normal until they began receiving regularly scheduled vaccinations. Speculation centered around the MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) vaccine, since some parents saw a dramatic spiral into autism immediately following the MMR inoculation.
Holistic physician David Brownstein, M.D., has seen first-hand the agony faced by parents of autistic children. "For over 20 years, I have seen many parents who reported that their child was developing normally until they received a vaccine," he says. "Within hours to days of the vaccine, particularly the MMR vaccine, these parents claim that their children changed in their behavior and attitude.
"The story was always similar," he tells Newsmax Health. "One day the child was normal, the next day he or she was crying and irritable and began regressing on all fronts — neurologically, behaviorally, and emotionally.

When I was a kid everyone suffered through the measles and mumps including me, my two sisters and everyone I knew. In addition we had the chicken pox. If you had it really bad as I had the mumps on both sides at the same time the doctor would come out to the house to check you over. You got all the coke you could drink, ice cream and they let the cat come in and lay on the bed with you. It was the normal course of life at the time.
Nobody I knew or heard of ever died. I’m sure there were children who did die occasionally as children still die occasionally today from various things.
All vaccines are not bad but you need to balance out the need agains’t the risk. All diseases are not equal. I would rather give my kid a vaccine than have them get small pox or polio.
I would rather have my kid stay in bed with the measles for a week or so than spend the next 60 years staring at a spot on the wall.

Additional information that William Thompson brought to light in recorded conversations with Dr Brian Hooker states that they (CDC Scientists) had changed the parameters of the study to “get rid of the association” between autism and vaccines so they would not have to report it to the public.
In the recordings Thompson expresses great shame and remorse for “lying” and for going along with what the “higher-ups” wanted. The evidence released by William Thompson is proof of research misconduct at the highest levels of the CDC putting American Families in jeopardy and sacrificing children in the process.
William Thompson was also recorded stating, “Oh my God, I did not believe that we did what we did, but we did. It’s all there… This is the lowest point in my career, that I went along with that paper. I have great shame now when I meet families of kids with autism, because I have been part of the problem.”
“We’ve missed ten years of research because the CDC is so paralyzed right now by anything related to autism. They’re not doing what they should be doing because they’re afraid to look for things that might be associated.”

I was not aware they used aborted fetal tissue to produce the vaccine. That explains much as spiritually they would be gateway for the demonic, as aborted babies are essentially blood sacrifices to Satan.
Autism isn’t medicated. There is no medicine that will cure autism. There are perhaps concomitant symptoms that might be helped, such as anxiety.
“Socially awkward” is one thing, but twirling in circles, always being on the perimeter of the playground, poor executive function, and being unable to respond when someone asks you a question are symptoms of autism.
My daughter can type and write stories and she’s gifted, but she can’t remember to take a shower.
It is not a racket.
The only big issue, and why schools try to medicate, is because public schools cannot cope with a different child. Public schools are for putting children through a factory-like system, and a differently-shaped item will not go through the machine.

I remember reading a while back that fathers over 40 were at increased risk for autistic kids. This dovetails with personal observation. I know several “older” fathers who have autistic kids. Of course, that could be one of several risk factors, but people are definitely marrying and ahving kids later in life.
I am for vaccinating children, just not so much, so soon. They need to space it out.

The changing definition of autism over time effects data collection. If you started out 30 years ago counting the Beagles in your neighborhood, but progressively added another breed to the list each year, you might conclude that the number of dogs in your neighborhood is skyrocketing. However, you really have no idea whether there are more dogs or fewer dogs than 30 years ago.
What qualifies as autism has expanded enormously in the last 3 decades. There were many kids I knew growing up that were not classified as autistic then, but would be now.
That said, I know what severe autism is, and its horrible. If something is truly shown to be causal, then that would be fantastic. There have been no scientific studies that indicated vaccines were causal to autism.

Every husband I know of autistic kids were in their 20’s or 30’s when their kids were born.
I have been a Christian my entire life and I took many Bible classes at my Christian college.

Evil is you telling my autistic child that her problems are caused by Satan. He has no power over me or over here because we are covered by the blood of Christ.
She has a developmental disorder in certain parts of her brain. That is all. Yes - these things were caused by original sin.

Actually, I did read your post. The fact you felt the need to invoke Snopes told me a lot. This vaxer/anti-vaxer thing is a very personal and curious thing I find. It reminds me of the AGW settled science and AGW-Denier debates that have been going on for years.

You may think, but I saw a doctor on the news say “there is no scientific proof that vaccines are harmful or cause autism.” You may think the news media is reporting factual information but would you be surprised to learn they may not be reporting the whole story? Kathleen Sebelius is quoted in an interview with Readers Digest stating, “There are groups out there that insist that vaccines are responsible for a variety of problems, despite all scientific evidence to the contrary. We (the office of Secretary of Health and Human Services) have reached out to media outlets to try to get them not to give the views of these people equal weight in their reporting.” A Free Press is NOT instructed on what to report by Government Officials.
I ask you, if a product, say breakfast cereal caused 1 out of 68 children to be brain damaged, would that product be recalled? Would you tell your children or grandchildren to continue consuming it?
Another point of contention is whether vaccinations should be mandatory in order for children to attend public school. At this time most states have exemptions for religious, medical or philosophical reasons. This right to make personal medical decisions is under attack as more people demand vaccinations be mandated.
In Dr. Lee Heib’s column for World Net Daily, she says it much better than I could, “At the end of the day, the issue here is one of freedom, and freedom is the freedom to choose – even if we make a bad choice. The argument that I must vaccinate my children for the good of the community is not only scientifically questionable, it is an unethical precept. It is the argument all dictators and totalitarians have used. “Comrade, you must work tirelessly for the good of the collective. You must give up your money and property for the good of the collective, and now … you must allow us to inject your children with what we deem is good for the collective.” If American’s don’t stand up against this, then we are lost. Because we have lost ownership of ourselves. Our bodies are no longer solely ours – we and our children are able to be commandeered for the “greater good.”

We’re not vaccinating our children for MMR. We did do the T-Dap on my 13 month old son.
Prayers for you and your daughter, agrarianlady. A close friend’s son has Aspergers.. and it is no picnic. For anyone to state that it is made up and he is a bit different... well, they are speaking out of their butt. He is extremely different. Bright yet socially awkward. He won’t look you in the eye. Verbal yet not appropriate. He will also forget you in a few days.
With respect to one of the freepers that questioned just who was the “victim”.. it is the child and parents. My friend has had to refigure their will in order that the one child receive everything. She prays that the trust can take care of him so he never sees the inside of an institution. She hopes that he can become self sufficient enough that when the time comes.. she can die in peace knowing her son is okay. (((Hugs))) to you and anyone that takes care of a disabled child.
