MILWAUKEE — Scott Walker was gone. Dropped out. And in the spring of his senior year.

In 1990, that news stunned his friends at Marquette University. Walker, the campus’s suit-wearing, Reagan-loving politico — who enjoyed the place so much that he had run for student body president — had left without graduating.

At least Scott Walker did not register as a Foreign student to get tuition subsidies!

Not Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, or Mark Zuckerberg finished college. Seems like college is a stepping stone and not intended to be life’s goal..

its just sort of weird, that 5 months and a few classes short of graduation, after putting in all of that time at a pretty good school, he just walks away without graduating? My old man would beat me for a week.

I was struck by the fact that after eight semesters, four years, of college, Scott Walker had less than three years of credits. He acknowledges that he had 94 credits after completing his eighth semester in May 1990, 34 short of the 128 credits required to graduate, which is 16 credits per semester. There is something materially wrong there, which calls for a transcript and an explanation on Walker's part. He cannot brush it off as a decision to take a full-time job. Walker had better act quickly if he doesn't want this to appear as a cover-up. If he does, then whatever is disclosed, I would support him.

Phew, I was really worried that Kennard was going to fall for this and not support Walker. Thanks for giving him a way out, Kennard.

FWIW, Walker seems to have accomplished a lot more than 99%of people who graduated from IVY League Schools.

Where is the curiosity regarding Obama’s college years?

What about Obama’s transcripts?

I’ve already read that Walker was a C student at Marquette.

Marquette is not such a side-show bastion of idiotic liberalism that it’s hard to imagine it not being so in Walker’s day. Maybe that’s why he left. He just couldn’t stomach anymore of the bilge.

That said, there are very few career fields that have a certified requirement for a degree: Law, Medicine, Public School Teaching, CPA, civil engineer. Can you think of any more?

I’m thinking that breathing is the primary prerequisite for a politician.

I agree with you, but I would refer to my original comment. Walker needs to have a standard, well-thought-out answer for why he left college without a degree. He could allude to trying a couple of fields of study before settling on one; he could say jokingly, that he never could master multivariate calculus and had to re-take it. He just needs to have a consistent story, and one to which many people can relate. Then, he needs to transition from his college "experience" to his public service experience. One that has results, one that he can point to as a success.

Thanks for giving him a way out,

I'm asking him to come clean about this, which would have been fine if he'd just said he took a year or so off, or whatever, from the outset.

The lingering question is should lying journos be shot.? Does Freedom of the press allow one to always lie with out stating the fact it is a lie?

Is the author of this ridiculous hit piece related to Sissy Farenthold, the feminist icon of the Democratic Party?

Yes, you are correct. There was a group of people huddling in a circle at work today, in hushed tones, talking about this exact issue. This is the defining issue in a campaign yet to begin.
