Senate Minority Leader Harry M. Reid (D-Nev.) will undergo another round of surgery Wednesday to repair his eye following exercise-related injuries, his office said late Monday.
The procedure is a follow-up surgery on his right eye and will be conducted at George Washington University Hospital in Washington, according to a statement from Reid’s office.
“This is a necessary step to assist in recovering full vision in his right eye,” the statement said. “His recovery will require him to miss the rest of the week but he is not expected to miss any more time in the office beyond that.”

Poor Hairy. All his ill-gotten gains will be of little value to him soon.
The maker of the exercise equipment was Guido and Dom, the model was Louisville Slugger, and the infraction was losing almost every Senate seat available.
I think that is the top possibility of what happened to him

I sure hope, given his advanced age, that he doesn’t encounter any anesthesia, surgical or post operative complications that would endanger his life. (Not answering any responses to my post).

Eye surgery on Reid is a complex affair. The first step is removing the head from the rectum.

I think that as much as I think that Clinton accidentally tripped late at night at Greg Norman’s house and ended up with surgery and crutches for weeks.
I belonged to a gym a decade ago, knew a guy there named Arty, about 35 I suppose, who ran competetively, taught yoga and pilates, that kind of thing.
I got to the gym one afternoon as the ambulance was pulling away. Arty was running on the treadmill, went down, flew off the machine. Turned out he’d had a heart attack, was dead before he hit the floor.
But I’ve seen a few other athletes lose their pace on a treadmill and lose their footing...it’s a hard fall and a big bang.
Ole One-eye Reid could have easily fallen, banged his head on the console going down, and landed hard on the platform and then the floor.
Wish he’d do it a few more times.
