Holder responded:

Well, I’ll say this, [walking through the school] was the worst day I had as Attorney General. It is, I think the single failure that I point to in my time as Attorney General, that I was not able to… convince Congress to really follow the will of the American people — which was to enact meaningful, reasonable, gun safety measures. The gun lobby simply won.

Holder went to say he does not believe America is a “nation of cowards,” but he does believe “members of Congress need to have a little more backbone and stand up to what is a distinct minority, even within… the NRA.”

He did not address the resounding defeat Americans dealt to gun control and gun control candidates during the 2014 midterm elections.

Don't worry, Eric - at the rate of success that Obama is having enacting things without the consent of Congress, and in fact with Congress looking the other way, I'm sure the 2nd amendment is going to fall before too long. There is not enough people in D.C. standing up for the constitution, and too many willing to shrug their shoulders.

With one notable exception, all of the school massacres in US history followed the passage of the Community Mental Health Act of 1963.

Crazy people aren't a big constituency, they would prefer to remain free-range, they don't vote, they cost money to treat adequately and politicians would rather use the money to buy votes. And that's why we have school massacres.

A bigger failure is Holder’s belief that the AG should be passing any kind of legislation. Holder did all he could to influence public opinion and legislation, beginning with Fast and Furious. How scummy does it get?

Semi auto rifles and high cap magazines are all the buzz word for gun control these days.

I remember a few years ago when the Brady Bunch used Ronald Gene Simmons as the poster boy for gun control!

With GUN CONTROL he could not have killed all those he did!

BUT WAIT! What did Simmons use to kill 16 people?

Half were killed with a strangling cord.
Half were killed with a Ruger single action .22 revolver.
One by drowning.

NOW, how would a ban on semi auto firearms and high cap magazines have stopped this?

And Gabrielle Giffords? If her attacker had only used a six shot revolver, she would still have been shot, another shot and Judge Roll killed. Then he would still have had three more shots, then what if he had another backup revolver!

As I’ve said, since 1962 the target has been total gun confiscation by any reason they could find.
