NBC News’ Brian Williams was not, as he has previously claimed, aboard a U.S. Air Force helicopter that was hit by two rockets and grounded during the 2003 Iraq invasion.
In what was surely a moment of vindication for those who were actually aboard the grounded aircraft, the Nightly News anchor admitted Wednesday that the harrowing story he and NBC had been perpetuating since 2003 was false.
“I would not have chosen to make this mistake,” Williams told the military publication Stars and Stripes, Wednesday. “I don’t know what screwed up in my mind that caused me to conflate one aircraft with another.”

He did CHOOSE to say what he did - countless times. He DID remember what happened. He chose to lie because he could and get away with it - for over a decade.

His apology for lying is also a lie.
He misremembered what happened one time but was able remember to tell the same lie for 12 years. Got it.
“Conflate”....there is some very serious, very well researched wordsmithing going on here. He, his colleagues and his management have know about this for a very long time. Rather than admit an outright self-serving lie, he and they choose to obfuscate and dissemble.
Brian Williams was seen last week on “Infinity on Demand” doing a commercial for NBC News telling everyone how NBC “gets the stories right.” This mouthpiece for Obama needs to get the boot.
But he did stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night with his composite girlfriend...err...

Liberals have imaginary valor in which they are heroes. Hillary got shot at in her mind. Kerry had three purple hearts that made up his valor. Jane Hanoi Fonda was also a hero in her own mind.
Imagine this phony when he interviews Hillary Clinton and she is asked to explain how she managed to dodge all those bullets on the tarmac. Unfortunately a critical number of American voters won’t have a clue and will elect an alcoholic lesbian with a narcissistic personality disorder as their President.
I wonder if Brian Williams story about his grandmother being on the Titanic and his grandfather surviving the sinking of tha Andrea Doria holds water?
