Fox News stands by decision to post heinous ISIS burning video online

Fox News took the controversial step yesterday of posting the 22-minute video from the Islamic State terror group that shows Jordanian pilot Lt. Muath al-Kaseasbeh being burned to death. To alert Internet users to what’s in the video, the presentation features these words: “WARNING, EXTREMELY GRAPHIC VIDEO”

Fox’s decision drew condemnation from terrorism experts consulted by The Guardian: “[Fox News] are literally – literally – working for al-Qaida and Isis’s media arm,” said Malcolm Nance of the Terror Asymmetrics Project on Strategy, Tactics and Radical Ideology. “They might as well start sending them royalty checks.” Twitter also fielded some negativity, for what that’s worth.

The network explained today why it posted the video. “After careful consideration, we decided that giving readers of FoxNews.com the option to see for themselves the barbarity of ISIS outweighed legitimate concerns about the graphic nature of the video,” said John Moody, who as Fox News’s executive vice president and executive editor has authority over the Web site. “Online users can choose to view or not view this disturbing content.”

Agree. I’m tired of YouTube and the big media deciding(censoring)
What I chose to watch or not watch.

Maybe the question to be asked and considered is:

If it was 1939 and we had film of dachau concentration camp, should it be shown?

I won’t watch it. There’s nothing I can be shown to make me despise these barbarians more than I do. But I do think it should be available and I believe some should be made to watch it. Especially those who say “Muslims aren’t bad people. I have friend who is a muslim.” And I hope W watched.

Even the Nazis didn’t film their outrages and projected them in movie theaters for their population to watch. They tried to keep the horror secret. IS is using fear and terror tactics—and it seems to be working—the Arab emerates are not bombing anymore—but Jordan is bombing more. Say the Nazis burned captured airmen in WW II and sent film to the US—we we have stopped—or stepped up the bombings to include more fire raids?

It is ironic that the western media seems to have no problem publishing these sickening ISIS snuff videos, but would not publish the Charlie Hebdo cartoons “offending” Muslims. The whole world should be incensed by these videos and if we had a leader in the White House an international coalition would be formed to hunt down and exterminate this Islamic vermin.

I won’t watch it. I have such a visceral repulsive reaction to muzzies at this point I don’t need anymore inspiration. Since 9/11 and everything these demon insects do on a daily basis, I don’t need to see the gorefests anymore.

But it’s okay with me that Fox or anyone else makes it available to help educate the useless muzzie loving idiots.

I hope Jordan kicks some SERIOUS @ss.

“Screw ‘em, I watched it, this just reinforces my belief that we better get serious with this ISIS threat before it comes here.”

And it reinforces my belief that in some circumstance retribution demands that you torture as part of your “punishment.” Simply killing those who did this would be letting them off easy. And by torture, I don’t mean waterboarding!

The King of Jordan is rightly pissed about it too. Jordanian web sites are showing the video. Why don’t our liberal wuss journalists? We know why. The same reason they censored the 9/11 “jumpers.”

error Asymmetrics Project on Strategy, Tactics and Radical Ideology...If we just ignore it...it will go away. Something stinks with this group.

I agree, but more fitting is 9/11 footage interspersed with the muslim in the white house saying he loved the sound of the muzzie prayer, and would stand with muslims ... et.

Americans need to act for America ... not another nation ... we're being over run

The situation is similar to what happened to the video of the tower jumpers of 9/11. MSM stopped running it because some folks might get upset. The real motivation coincided with the gradual morphing of 9/11 from being described as an outrage to being termed a tragedy. It tamps down the hoi polloi’s desire for revenge and the demand that government do something the administration doesn’t want to do.

See also the gradual shift, in the days immediately after 9/11, from flying American flags to hanging yellow ribbons. Anger gets watered down to mere yearning.

By the token, capital punishment should be either televised or available to be seen. If we cannot bear to see what the state is doing in our name, maybe we shouldn’t be doing it. And I a pro the death penalty. I just think if it’s going to be a deterrent, do it in public. There’s a reason the French did their guillotining in the town square.

These are the same people who made networks stop showing the planes flying into the towers, the smoke and buildings collapsing. TV never showed the people jumping IIRC. They don’t want it to be ‘real.’ Just like the pix of aborted fetuses. If you don’t see them, you don’t have to think about the actual barbarity.

Wrong. Seeing what the Demons do also reinforces our reserve and educates stupid people. Present company excepted.

Good for FoxNews, but they should have posted it next to the Mohammed Cartoons. Let willing viewers see what sets the savages off.

However, it did reinforce my conviction that there’s a special place in Hell for these monsters.
