The only silver lining to Mitt Romney being pushed out of the presidential race -- temporarily, I hope -- is that the media’s preferred GOP candidate, Jeb Bush, is catnip to the stupidest influence-seekers...
Not true -- the only silver lining is that the constant drumbeat against Mitt and Jeb has been reducded (one would hope) to a constant drumbeat against Jeb. ;')

W/ Mitt out.......the only silver lining is that the constant drumbeat has been reduced (one hopes) to a constant drumbeat against Jeb....

Only fun left is watching Jeb doin' the Mexican hat dance to that latino drumbeat.

JEB'S FAMOUS LAST WORDS: "WE SHOULD CONTROL OUR BORDERS BY POLITELY ASKING THEM TO LEAVE"---and he famously called border-jumping "an act of love"

We who are footing the bills and want to protect US sovereignty are the "bad guys" according to Jeb. Jeb needs to figure out that its not how much voters like candidates.......it's how much the candidate appears to like voters.

Jeb makes the same mistake Perry made---sneering at voters opposed to giveaways---saying they were "heartless." Candidates hoping to win by flaunting their self-serving "superiority" are doomed to failure.

Jeb and Senora Bush.

The one positive attribute that I can definitely assign to Ann's column is that she nicely highlights and underscores what the most important issue facing the country is, immigration. As such, I have to say, thanks Ann.

Unchecked immigration, both legal and illegal, conducted under the banner of multiculturalism, is an assault on our culture. When we lose our culture, we lose the country. The status quo will yield irreversible consequences if we don't change course soon.

Jebbie has not the slightest appeal unless someone is looking for the most bland, uncompelling candidate available.

That's exactly what the Republican primary voters will be looking for AGAIN.

“That’s exactly what the Republican primary voters will be looking for AGAIN.”

Maybe the primary voters but in the general he goes nowhere. Sigh.

Then, Shemp Bush will declare and knock Jeb out of the running, only to be replaced by Zeppo Bush.--

LOL…but Mom always liked Jeb best...

But the I thought she was smart enough to know what a “generation” is too.

She's writing on a deadline, so her columns can't all be masterpieces.

"Three generations of imbeciles are enough" is a quote a lot of her readers might recognize -- though they might not agree with the original meaning (support of eugenics and compulsory sterilization).

If one can get past the original context (and Ann's slighting the mental capacities of the two previous Bush presidents), her use of the quote might be thought witty.

“what he supports: legal status for millions of people here already, while making it easier for immigrants to come here through the front door. “

Sen. Ted Cruz also supports temporary legalization status in the immigration bill

“Amnesty” is when you’re not prosecuted for a crime. Consult your dictionary.

Illegal immigration is a crime.

Hope this helps.

The title "Three Generations of Imbeciles Are Enough" is a direct quote from a historical opinion by Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes in Buck v Bell, a eugenics case.
