Would not breathing some of the dreaded CO2 cause one to silently and painlessly die?

No, that's a horrible way to go. Carbon dioxide build up is why drowning or smothering is so painful.

Me too. Debbie will never know true peace, as the INJUSTICE system is broken. I’ve had to come to terms Jeremy’s killer is now a free man.

I don’t get involved in many cases, but Debbie is my friend, and her kids played with mine. And Nikki deserves JUSTICE.

There truly is no such thing as life with NO parole. Some lib judge or gov will commute the sentence, thus no JUSTICE for heinous crimes. Plus we victims have to pay the tax bill for their medical, incarceration, legal fees, and education. Which I think we should be exempt from. It adds insult to injury.

That is untrue; many do die in prison. As for the power to revisit cases, we rail at this at our own peril. Having bad stewards of government is a problem with far worse implications than this.

If a magician waved a wand and fixed it tomorrow, would the vengeance truly get her peace? Or would she now be in a dither forever about how long it took, or some other dissatisfaction?

Life on earth often sucks. This is a just consequence of humanity’s rebellion against God. What is not so “just” but badly needed by all is the mercy of God which God Himself paid for. The limitation there is not God but your own willingness to accept it. Spurn this purchased peace and there is none other left.

Where do veterinarians get their drugs? I’ll bet they would share.

Don’t get me wrong... sometimes vengeance on our behalf is a sign of God working. But even that is not perfect in an earthly sense. It can only be a token.

What we don’t need is so much vengeance, but God. God gets His own vengeance when He is good and ready to do it, which is when even mercy fails to elicit repentance. For Him a thousand years is as a day. He has hinted to us already that this is the valid perspective by putting eternity in our hearts. If we complain God does not meet our time scales, we belittle Him and His power.
