A Seattle history teacher who was pepper sprayed during a peaceful Martin Luther King Day Jr. rally is suing the cops who allegedly attacked him.
Newly released video showed a Seattle police officer pepper spraying Jesse Hagopian as he walked home from the Jan. 19 rally, his lawyer said.
Hagopian, who teaches history at Seattle's Garfield High School, spoke at the event and was on the phone with his mom when the spray hit his eyes. He was on his way to his 2-year-old son's birthday party, he said.

Either pre-emptive spraying is now taught to the Seattle police, or that's one hyper cop they've got there.
From what I read about Seattle Police, the teacher should consider themselves lucky they were not killed. It does not take much for them to kill you.

What IS it with these female cops in Seattle? The other one, who tried to arrest the black man with the golf club, sounded like she was in abject terror the whole time.
I especially liked the part where she said, ‘you swung it at me,’ followed closely by, ‘sir, this is all being recorder on video and audio.’ That would have been fine, except the club never even came off the ground.
Somebody needs firing plus some additional penalty.

The old man was probably charged with “misuse of golf club”
its probably equal to “no future for those who insult the prophet”
Cops live by different rules.
Had one of us Pepper Spayed a random person walking down the street, we would go to prison.
The cop will not be arrested and never be prosecuted.
As a Seattle resident it gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling thinking about Jesse Hagopian getting pepper sprayed. He is the epitome of left wing indoctrinators otherwise known as teachers.
Can anyone understand what this elfen witch is screaming at the crowd before she randomly sprays people moving on a public thoroughfare?
She’s screaming “get back”.
She obviously overreacted out of fear. She probably thought she was moments away from the crowd rushing her when all they were doing is trying to find the quickest way out of there even before she started spraying.
She obviously was in a panicked state of mind. Even some of her fellow officers were looking at her like she’s crazy.
Would that make it OK?
She screams out "step back" for a while, and then hoses down with pepper spray anybody within range, hitting a guy who was just walking by, talking on his cell phone and probably not hearing her.
She seems a bit strange alright.

Get over yourself! I am so tired of all of this “painful memory” whining. It happened, it’s over. Sue ‘em, and you have the right, but leave off with this pathetic wallowing crap!
I broke my arm three different times, I was concussed 3 times, I had a bruised kidney, I passed a kidney stone...those were all more serious and more painful than pepper spray. Yes, if I want to think about it, I can recall the pain for some of them (two happened at 3 years old and younger) - but it doesn’t affect me or my family.
My father died 10 years ago, THAT is a painful memory - but you don’t hear me whining to the media about it.
BTW - I’m prediction your “painful memory” will last until the precise moment you deposit your settlement check. From then on it won’t be painful for you or your family.
Don't forget...they'll be quite a few tax dollars going Hagopian's way sometime soon. The city will settle his lawsuit fast.
I was in Southern Illinois many years ago going to school and working. There was a young man with some sort of mental defect who put me in mind of Baby Huey, very large and not the sharpest, but relatively harmless; my point being that anyone with a modicum of common sense could see this young man was not quite right. One day he went into a convenience store and got a soda and candy and took a TV Guide which he told the clerk he would return. The clerk called the cops. A diminutive female of 5 foot nothing 90lbs showed up. True to his word, Huey shows to return the TV Guide. He puts it back on the rack and begins to leave. The female officer tries to detain him but is dragged like a child skitching on the bumper of a school bus in the snow; Huey not really resisting but simply walking wondering why it is hard to walk. THis female officer pulls out her pepper spray and sprays this young man in the face hitting his mouth. “Blaah!” He says, “Now I need something to drink.” So he takes a soda. THe spray had zero effect on him. Fortunately the campus police, who were acquainted with him and knew who was responsible for him showed. They were pretty p.o.ed at the female officer’s actions and let her know about it. I had the same police department pull guns on me twice for minor traffic offenses.
The poor guy on the phone is walking buy the idiot cop when she just hoses him down with the spray. She sounds incoherent. The only thing one can be thankful is that she didn’t draw her gun or a dozen people would be dead. She’s out of control.

Jesse was caught in the cross-fire but there were professional agitators in the crowd escalating the situation.
Remember. Just about all of these demonstrations are led by the communists. Just like Kent State.
Their goal is to provoke.
