You can employ other things that can multiply the force.
Gas is the easiest, if your safeguards are in place.
You can range it from debilitating type gases to lethal, and if you choose right you don’t pose any ongoing risks to yourself or your family.
Livestock is another matter. You can defend yourself with very few, or no, people. You just need to have the means and the will to use the system, and use it without exception. That takes a touch of sociopathy to pull off.

You should see the uber private airport and boltholes up in Habersham County. Black Hummers with security pick you up and drive you to your bolthole. Willie Nelson has a bolthole up there.

The Adirondacks have these, too. I spoke to a retired builder/developer in a bar in Lake Placid around 8 years ago. He told me about a visit he made to a fenced and gated compound of scattered homesites patrolled by armed guards miles in from the highway. He said the firepower they carried was well beyond what was needed to keep the black bear population in check.

Agreed. Recidivism can only be remedied by longer periods of incarceration. Getting the criminals off of the streets for a long time is the best way to reduce crime rates.

In my first post I wasn’t referring to you and me. I have ideas of my own and you obviously do too.
I am just saying that I don’t quite see why some rich pr-—k (and he is entitled to be both, I like money too) thinks he will be safe if things really get tough in a hard, dry, cold land where many still remember how to live by the law of the gun.
He may be heavily guarded for a time but there is no incentive whatsoever for his chief of security not to decide he wants to be chief of it all.
