“Prices for those that did ranged from 16 to 20 cents per round.”
Wow. I had no idea the price of .22LR was up that high.
It’s about 9 cents a round right now.
$0.16 to $0.20 per round is what target grade is going for. Standard velocity 500 rd. bricks are going for about $50.00 ($0.10 per round) which is still WAY too high. That’s supply and demand for you.
5.4 cents per round of Winchester at Wal-Mart if you can catch it. I’m going to need exactly 20,800 rounds this year and I am at 8500 at the moment. Long way to go.
Agreed, this America, the public is short of something? Makes no sense to me at all.
I see a great opportunity here...
When I go to Walmart I stop at the sporting goods and always check to see if they have 22LR and 22Mags.
I have bought several guns there the past 7 years and the two gentlemen that usually work there know what I am looking for.
I have collected around 16,000 22LR and the most I ever paid for them was five cents and under.
Now I am working on stocking up on the 22 mags and I have a ways to catch up on those but I am persistent.
I have my mom and girl friend check every time they go and they will both grab the max amount per-person allowed.
“Wow. I had no idea the price of .22LR was up that high.”
It isn’t.
I quit checking. Never a single box on the shelves.
Small gun shop in my area has a dozen 10/22’s he cannot sell.
He can’t get .22 ammo at all.
I had 20,000 rounds of CCI in a storage that got flooded. I tried a few(nine) and some worked and some didn’t. I don’t know what to do with them. Freepmail me if you have any suggestions.
Smart promotion. They’ll probably lose a little profit on the ammo, but they’ll draw a bigger crowd to the show and recoup it I’m sure.
The story says it is that high at the few stores in Portland that had it in stock. I wonder if they have some local taxes that are driving it up?
I have yet to find any .22 at Walmart in the past 18 months.
It’s cheaper to shoot my .223 these days.
I only buy CCI Stingers and they are going for $.26/round. It should be no more than $.15/round.
we got some laying around, probably several hundred or a thousand.. different brands
make an offer...
You and like minded folks are the precise and only reason that there is currently a shortage of rimfire ammunition, which allows the gougers to flourish and laugh all the way to the bank,
You are the problem...stockpilers like you create the shortage
