This kid is going to go through life just looking for a grievance to moan about. I have a tiny bit of sympathy because my daughter also got told to wear a shawl or sweater with a sleeveless dress. But she did as told and had a great time. This one, on the other hand, seems to have a hovering mama and an absentee dad. Get over it, child.

I have a daughter that was told to change what she was wearing in the past based on an arbitrary dress code. What she was wearing was completely acceptable and conservative, not the least be revealing. I was told to come to her school and bring different clothes or she could return to her classes. She didn’t moan. I didn’t moan. I verbally ripped the head of the principal and the teacher who sent my daughter to the principal. I also threatened them with a law suit. If you don’t stand up to petty fascism it goes into complete control over your life. Note that I wrote ‘fascism’. There are people on the right and left that are willing to control our lives and deprive us of our freedom and liberty. I am sorry that you are so weak.

Well, this girl had to wear her coat the whole time as she did not have a sweater (it is January). The dress code calls for 2" straps which evidently this dress had, so she followed the dress code.

Hovering mama is justifiably angry that her daughter was humiliated by school personnel at the door. I think the dress is modest and very fitting for a 16 year old at a school dance.

I don’t know about that.

I stood up to “authority” in high school when the “official” was wrong. We all don’t have to be sheep and do whatever we’re told even if wrong or someones whim.

I am glad she is not a sheep like you want her to be. I am sorry she actually put on a coat rather than saying "screw off" the the big bitch.

Compared to the slutty things most 16 year old girls wear these days I applaud her for such a modest choice and mature sense of style. Someone had it in for her or just wanted to be a beotch. I see nothing wrong with her complaint. If anything she should be complemented for dressing like a lady.

Ja wohl, Herr verrückte Professor!

You are a good citizen. You do what the State decrees!
