So you are against consumer choice?
I could care less what Jobs’ opinion was of anything. I want to make my own decisions not based on what he thinks.
If you are okay making your decision based upon what others think the product you buy should be limited to, then that speaks volumes about you, and not in a good way.
Consumer choice is like buying a Maytag washer because of the way it works and the layout of the knobs ... while another person doesn’t like the way the knobs are positioned on the Maytag ... and then buys a Westinghouse. NOW ... Maytag isn’t trying to force people to accept their “knob layout” ... that’s simply the way they decided was the BEST WAY to do it. That is what THEY DECIDED. it has nothing to do with consumers “choosing where the knobs go” ... LOL ...
IN THIS CASE ... Apple designed their system this way because Flash was nothing but trash, would compromise security, and would “hog resources” and run the system down. Apple TOOK OUT THE TRASH, when they designed their system.
ON TOP OF THAT ... Adobe doesn’t support it any longer for Android!
We made the decision to discontinue support for Android mobile browser because of two reasons: 1) Premium experiences on mobile devices are typically being delivered through apps and 2) Mobile websites mostly rely on HTML5 based video delivery.

And TODAY ... we see Apple decided correctly and “ahead of the game” ... as seems to be the case with Apple most of the time. Adobe doesn’t even support it any longer ADMITTING that HTML 5 is the way to go, just like YouTube discontinuing Flash!
You’re complaining about Aplle being AHEAD OF THE GAME! ... :-) ...
