A former Hollywood executive is the latest woman to come forward and accuse comedian Bill Cosby of sexual assault.
Cindra Ladd, a philanthropist and former entertainment executive who is married to former Fox and MGM/UA chief Alan Ladd Jr., wrote an op-ed that the comedian drugged her and had sex with her when she was 21.
"He was a 32-year-old internationally known comedian and television star, one of the most likable and popular entertainers in the business. He asked for my number and I gave it to him," she wrote.
She said they hung out, went to a movie, watched TV and ate pizza and hot dogs in her apartment with her roommate. Married to his wife Camille, Cosby was the "perfect gentleman," Ladd wrote.
On their way to a movie one night, Ladd wrote that she met Cosby at an apartment belonging to a friend of his. When she told Cosby she had a terrible headache, she said he offered her a capsule. Each time she asked him what it was, she said he responded, "Don't you trust me?"
Ladd wrote that she took the capsule and said to this day she only has vague recollections of that night.
"What I do recall, vividly and clearly, is waking up the next morning nude in the bed of his friend's apartment and seeing Cosby wearing a white terrycloth bathrobe and acting as if there was nothing unusual," she wrote. "It was obvious to me that he had had sex with me. I was horrified, embarrassed and ashamed. There was a mirror above the bed, which shocked me further."
Ladd said it never occurred to her to go to the police. "It was a different time and 'date rape' was a concept that didn't exist," she said.

I think his latest accuser is almost as rich as he is. She wouldn’t really gain financial by suing him.

She has plenty of money and has already stated she has no plans to go after him for money.
The riskiest thing she did was accept a pill from a stranger, but in 1969 who would have thought a guy of Cosby's stature would drug girls to have sex with them???
many of these have passed the statutes of limitations. They know they will never see a cent from him. I think they just want to truth to be known.
A lot of 21 year old women still have the mindset of naive girls. A surprising number of them would put themselves in stupid situations thinking they guy they were with would not hurt them.
Perhaps. He can still be pressured to cut a cheque as accusations keep coming.
It only takes one of these girls to be telling the truth for these accusations to be true.
I’ve always wondered why I don’t remember anything about or after a colonoscopy......must be this is the drug they use.
ha, reminds me of an episode of Seinfeld where they have bad suspicions of what happens at the dentist’s office after they are knocked out.
She seems pretty credible to me... but, why was an attractive, single 21 year old woman “hanging out” with a married man?
There was a Doctor on CNN who named 4 different drugs that were available from the 1960s on that he could have used to achieve the effects that his victims described. He mentioned Seconal, Soma, Chloral hydrate and GHB.
There is also the halo effect that prominent people have. We have a tendency to believe that with so much to lose in life would not do things that would not put them at risk.
Very true Jonty. It’s sad how some people realize they are so powerful in their chosen industry that they know this type of behavior will be swept under the rug and some people will actively help cover it up. Like with Michael Jackson.

You’ll have to do better than that to dismiss dozens of claims, two police reports, 15 years, and one out of court settlement so far.
Weird way to defend him, it is interesting to see the women hating come out on these threads.
