Is Sarah Palin Too Toxic for 2016?
American Thinker ^ | 01/26/2015 | Lloyd Marcus

Posted on 01/26/2015 7:50:39 AM PST by SeekAndFind

Sarah Palin saying “Of course” she's interested regarding running for the presidency in 2016 has people buzzing. During that interview, Palin said we need a candidate who is ready for Hillary. I agree. Romney would be Mr. Nice Guy/gentleman unwilling to attack the girl.

As for Palin running, a woman wrote: “I have never given up on her (Sarah Palin). I am sooooooo hoping that she will be our spokesperson. My husband says the press and Obama have tainted her so much that it would be impossible for her to run. I say that 'with God, all things are possible.”

To this woman, I say, “Right on sister!” No offense to her husband, but I find his mindset frustrating. We complain that there are far too few politicians with the cojones to push back against Obama's unprecedented arrogance, lawlessness and tyranny. Despite their newly acquired control over the House and Senate, the GOP appears to be attempting to pull the wool over our eyes regarding amnesty. In their Spanish language response to Obama's SOTU, the GOP brought up immigration, desiring to “create permanent solutions” without mentioning immigration in the English version. What is up with that?

So tell me folks, how many politicians on our side truly are who they say they are; standing up for our principles and values – fighting for freedom and the Constitution? We lament that many politicians on our side are obsessed with winning an approving pat on the head from the MSM; reduced to political impotence. Oh if only there was a little blue pill for dysfunctional Republicans/conservatives.

Good Article, I agree.

The Lefts culture is so perverse no matter that if Mother Teresa ran she would be called worse than Hitler.

I don't want another new untested guy but some one who has a proven track record of conservative results. Sara Palin has leadership qualities that scare the stuffing out of the left, when she speaks people agree and want to follow her policies.

Any conservative who runs will be "too toxic" for the left... at least they will be after the MSM (including Fox News) gets going on them.

Living in fear of how the media will portray our candidates is a bad strategy.

I say we go for it.

I like Palin but her resigning as gov. of Alaska was a political poison bill.

More PDS "quitter" bullcrap.

I could accept her leaving the top job in Alaska. Palinistas here tend to over-spin why she left, but that’s not a big issue to me.

What is the bigger concern is that she has quit politics completely. She had a chance to run for the Senate. In either Alaska or Arizona. She chose to be a TV Talking Head instead. Nothing wrong with that. She wields great influence from her spot on camera.

But as far as getting down and dirty in a political race?

Not. Gonna. Happen.

Four shows in a row on FNC, all the guests are insisting Walker won, even though clearly Cruz won far more applause.

Expect FR to be even more overrun by old-sign-up-date but no recent comments GOP-e, talking up Walker.

I do believe she is damaged and if there were none better to run but some dud like Romney or Bush I’d be all for it. If I’m going to lose I’d rather lose backing a principled candidate than one that stands for nothing yet everything. My biggest problem is how she approached the possibility of running last time. She led us on a wild goose chase and teased us up to October 5, 2011 a point that basically resulted in a vast waste of resources that could have went to another conservative candidate. Instead it left us with Romney. I really do love Sarah Palin for what she stands for and where she came from but she is going to have to do a lot of convincing to get me to chase her this go round. We have too many better and more accomplished candidates to waste our efforts on someone who is indeed valuable but whose time like Romney and Bush has passed.

In general, I appreciate Lloyd’s opinions, but the headline of this piece does nothing more that parrot some very clever libtard’s choice of words. I’m weary of conservatives who at the first hint of Palin’s name ‘expertly’ claim “she’s toxic”. Kudos the the original libtard who first put the two words “toxic” and “Palin” in the same sentence. It has worked so well that we now even have guy’s who have risen up in name recognition by championing conservative TEA party principles using the “toxic Palin” meme.

Yep, much as I love Palin, her time was 2012. In 2016, the person to pull off a win is Cruz. Cruz would be an outstanding President. Have Palin in the cabinet - Secretary of the Interior or somesuch.

Toxic? Oh good grief. The liberal progressives and liberal RINO’s never stop.

You will hear this sort of thing till your nauseated until the 2016 election. Snips such as these are designed to cast a negative shadow on conservatism.

Ted Cruz, Sarah Palin, Rand Paul are far right wing nutcases, war mongers....blah blah blah

I think Palin would much prefer to endorse Cruz than run for President.

Palin’s comment that she might run keeps her relevant and a potential king-maker.

If Cruz gets in, Palin’s endorsement of him will come shortly before the first primaries.

Yet that is exactly why it might be a good idea to run...as a distraction. The libs would be in a frenzy, spend all their time and money trying to go after her.

She beats them at their own game. For this reason, it wouldn’t surprise me if she runs.

I agree. To quote Knute Rockne, "When the going gets tough, the tough get going." To quote Vince Lombardi, "Winners never quit and quitters never win."

I would be happy to see a real American like Sarah sitting in the Oval Office.

But the ugly truth is that the left and the media have unfairly demonized and discredited her with their lies, fabrications and characterizations to the point she would not be a viable candidate.

The truth doesn’t matter - it is what the unthinking masses have been led to believe is the truth.

Sarah will probably have to be content making millions of dollars by being a thorn in the liberals side.
