Netflix has only “The Thin Man Goes Home” on DVD. I have seen it in the past and have little to add to A.W.’s review. Nick Charles clean and sober is a noteworthy factor for this late entry in the series about the sleuthing couple.

A Song To Remember! I went nuts over that when I was a small boy! Wanted to be Chopin (I thought he was Mozart at the time)! Wanted to play that A-flat polonaise! I still do!

Merle Oberon as George Sand. I’m not seeing it. However, it’s understandable that the producers would think an exotic sexpot in the role would sell some tickets ...

I think I’ll check the library catalog for a biography of Chopin, though.

Didn’t find any A-flat Polonaise, but here’s Tiffany Poon (official classical pianist of the Undead Thread) playing “Variations Brillantes.”

Back in September 1939, er, 2009 I posted this Polonaise each day until Warsaw finally surrendered. I read that it was broadcast daily from Radio Warsaw also.

This is a good one, Rubenstein, very elegant, but I would do some things differently (it's always like that):

“The Woman in the Window” is a superb piece of film noir but yes, the ending is a cheat.
