In no way what I am about to opine is meant to justify that police officers must sacrifice their lives on the altar of political correctness.

I think what is happening in our society is as our government becomes larger, more intrusive and more oppressive the police officers who must enforce the law become symbols of all that is wrong in our society.

The icing on that cake is the rabble rousing thugs, like Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Eric Holder and Obama, invite all young blacks to carry a chip on their shoulders, particularly when interacting with the police thereby insuring ugly results.

Well, it didn't help their cause any when our Community Organizer-In-Chief started off his administration with that "police acted stupidly" comment. He's the president and he sets that tone of how the country sees the government and authority.

The police may have somehow become the symbols of what is wrong with our society, but they are not the cause of it. Like you said, it is the racists Obama, Holder, Sharpton and Jackson and the like, who feed that narrative. Obama even went so far to say that is was okay for the protestors to get angry at the police after the Ferguson debacle, fueled from the start by all of these race merchants. Turns out, not only was the officer cleared by the local grand jury, but even after trying so hard to hang him with civil rights violations, Holder had to drop the case too. Much to do about nothing, if the race baiters would have just kept their big black, racist mouths shut.
