Those people only know what they see portrayed in movies and TV shows. They know nothing about extensive training, nor the real-life experiences of being a police officer on the job, and on the street. They speak out of their a$$ on a subject they have no first-hand knowledge of.
All I can say to the ferals and their supporters is keeping pushing. You won’t like the result.

1. Are you intending to kill your girlfriend?
2. Do you intend to kill whoever tries to stop you from killing her?
3. If you kill me (the officer), are you going to run away after doing so?
4. What about my family after you kill me, who will provide for them?
5. Are you glad a lot of activists want you to be able to threaten and kill whoever you want to?
6. Is there some reason you're wearing your pants so low when you're about to get into some heavy running and physical action?
7. Why are you stopping to pick up the gun after you dropped it?
8. Why are you starting to point it at me?
9. Are you running because you knew I'd find that cocked and loaded gun on you?
10. Why are you not answering my questions?
Just some possible questions to ask...
I had to watch key parts of the KTUL video multiple times to try to assimilate details because everything happens so quickly.
Did the cop mention the word “weapons” after he first confronted the man?
Also, partly because of combination that I cannot view a video a frame at a time and also edited-in blur, I never clearly saw man point gun at cop and then turn and run.
Noting that I am not a body chemistry expert, if I was the cop pursuing the man, I probably wouldn’t have had the time to consciously override a likely surge of adrenaline to pull the trigger as a consequence of the man briefly pointing his gun at me, regardless of colors.

Not only should have axed questions first but after not getting acceptable answers, should have shot the gun out of his hand, being careful to shoot the gun only and not the poor man’s actual hand.

So, exactly what questions should one ask when a violent criminal, wanted for threatening to murder his girlfriend, points a gun at you? “Say, are you loading wadcutters?”

This shooting was 100% justified. The officer defended his life, and that is that. Unless you are a “social justice activist”, in which case only seeing said officer roasting on a spit will do.
These are the malcontents and ne'er-do-well good-for-nothings of the world. I don't know what portion of our society they make up but I don't think it is a large segment. I believe most people believe in law and order and respect the police. But there are always those few who seem to be quick to blame the cops for being too aggressive. I wouldn't want to have their dangerous jobs and be making split-second decisions that could mean my life or death daily as I go about my job. I respect them for that and appreciate what they do to keep our communities safe. It can't be as easy as some of these Monday morning quarterbacks would have us think.
