OMG 2-4 inches per hour? We’re all going to die!

I don't know if you've ever been to NYC but I get there regularly.I can assure you that 6 inches of snow ties the city up for days. Two feet will be far uglier.Buffalo's accustomed to this kind of thing...but not Gotham.

Exactly! There’s nowhere to plow the snow to! Where do you put it? On the sidewalks?

Well, it ties up the city if the Mayor forgets to send out the snow trucks and sand the roads - as he did last year. Bloomberg also messed up one time. I got caught in that one. Most people walk to work (storekeepers usually sweep) or cross country ski to work. Many stay home for a day.

That’s why fish don’t like living in barrels.

Whatever disaster may come their way, the Big A-hole RATs desperately deserve it.

it's remarkable that these two cities are in the same state but react as if they are worlds apart.

I was in NYC when it got 28” of snow. I think it was eight years ago. We were there for the Westminster Kennel club show at the Garden. We stayed directly across the street at Hotel Pennsylvania. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon. By that evening it was coming down hard. The next morning, nothing was moving except the subways. Penn Station was right across the street. We went to the museum of Natural History the next day.
By Monday morning every time you tried to step off a sidewalk you had to slop through a three foot puddle of SLUSH. Our son was only eight at the time. It was his first trip to the big city.

I love how folks do not have a clue about other parts of their own country. I drove through Charlotte one day after the got 10 inches of snow, it looked like Mad Max. In MA it was cleaned out in an hour. Down there it was the end of the world.

I had to laugh the whole way to Georgia.
