Actually, I’ve never known NYers to get upset about blizzards. We live in an area prone to snow storms every year. Now, if you really want to see panic, try London with an inch or two of snow. Or Los Angeles when it rains.
You’re right. The POLITICIANS in NY panic, but we regular people are fine as long as we have our bread and milk.
That’s not to say we LIKE it...a 2-3-foot snowstorm does in fact make travel both hazardous and difficult. Having a metro-area population of this many people, with this many cars and this many roads just makes it worse.
