In the grand scheme of things, the projections of ISIS on the world dont really amount to much
We live in an open, unguarded culture. It only takes one or two individuals to catapult the populace into terror and angst. Recall the Beltway Snipers and the tense focus they caused? Incidentally, this is a quote from the Wiki article on them: A series of trial exhibits suggested Malvo and Muhammad were motivated by an affinity for Islamicist Jihad. Weve entered an era of asymmetric warfare by individuals and organizations (some of which Obama is financing) against not the military or a nation, but the civilian populace. It doesnt take a significant number of deaths to tie up the populace and to prevent people from going about their normal lives (evidence TSA). My sister is fond of saying that we can only live as well as our neighbors will allow.

“We have the capability to erase these spineless jellyfish from the face of the earth. Why dont we do it?”......
Best pose that question to the “Chief Muslim” in the White House.
You make a very good point. To which I'd add: ISIS will not be content with rifle-based attacks. They're certainly planning for something on a larger scale, like the Boston bombings and beyond.
Unfortunately, we are still in a 1930's mindset. The Nazis? They're just disagreeable little people who are doing some disagreeable things in a land far away.
Yup...Japan's been meddling in the Middle-East to much.
We must kill all these Muslim savages.
what you said is true however the storm of the day always passes with a new one. The storm dejour is mostly media hype to get paid. They earn a living by daily hype of something to create the interest and angst.
Were they to begin a story of the day concentrating on black on black urban subculture murder, there might be revolution
“We must kill all these Muslim savages.”
Yes, it is clear we have not yet killed a sufficient number of them.
Outrage accomplishes nothing. Japan’s PM should make a deal with some of their Yakuza to send some talented killers to the area to exact retribution. Perhaps a few hundred assassins who will descend on ISIS element at night and leave messages for their other fighters. The Japanese can be grotesquely creative when they want to be, and these killers would not be under any rules whatsoever.
The idea is to create the illusion that demons or monsters are afoot.
