Cruz introduced a new major theme, the Miracle of America, in his speech to the thousands of Iowans gathered at the event hosted by Citizens United and Rep. Steve King (R-IA).
What I want to talk to you about today is reigniting the Miracle of America, Cruz said in his speech in the Hoyt Sherman Place theater in downtown Des Moines. This country was built on an extraordinary miracle. The Miracle of America began with a revolutionary ideawhich was that our rights, they dont come from government. They come from God almighty. The Constitution, as Jefferson says, serves as chains to bind the mischief of government.
He used the phrase, Miracle of America, many more times throughout the speech, and after almost every line, Cruz earned loud applause from the thousand-plus in the room.
When asked to explain the meaning of the phrase during his exclusive interview with Breitbart News backstage, Cruz said that it signifies the extraordinary challenge Americans are facing over the next two yearsand the importance of how big of a deal it is to actually fight for those values laid out by Americas founders. Cruz said:
Were facing a time of extraordinary challenge right now and over the next two years. Americans need to come together to reignite the Miracle Of America.
The Miracle of America consists of the principles this country was founded on, first and foremost that our rights come from God Almightynot from governmentand that the Constitution serves, as Jefferson puts it, as chains to bind the mischief of government.

The free market works the same for labor as it does for anything else. Stop the H-1b visa and you have a slight shortage of IT people. Wages go up and young people entering college see that beacuse most are not stupid. It is hard to get a STEM degree, I know I have one. It has to be economically viable. Stopping the H-1B program is vital in re invigorating the STEM academic field. It is just market economics. Plain and simple.
who is your preferred candidate over Cruz?
Curious minds want to know.
Right now divided govt looks good. It seems the Democrats won’t give the Republicans their salacious H-1b visa increase if they Democrats can’t get their general amnesty for illegals. That stalemate seems to work. Unless a candidate gets it on stopping “free trade”,off shoring,NAFTA,open border and H-1b then I guess I will not vote for President, just down ballot.
Sorry I asked.
Oh, I can guarantee that if hilary or Elizabeth Warren get in, it won’t be just a standoff. They can and will do an amazing amount of damage.
I, for one, won’t giving them my assent by not voting against them.
It might be to time to try and hasten the collapse. Hillary would push us over the edge faster.
You’ve been added to the Ted Cruz Ping List!
I’ve thought that, too.
But - 2 considerations: 1) a hilary or Warren may take us too far over the edge to recover, and 2) if we don’t show some fight, if we just de facto acquiesce without any protest, we will help empower them further.
Thanks. :)
Stop the H-1b visa and you have a slight shortage of IT people. Wages go up and young people entering college see that beacuse most are not stupid.Absolutely agree. But it's not like flipping a switch and turning them out overnight. In the interim, the market demands workers. I don't like the increase and I wish we had those students lined up and ready to graduate, but I'm not going to condemn Cruz over it.
I the USA can handle $4.00 gas it can handle a decade without H-1b. You’ll never notice. Trust me.
See my tag line....
Excellent!
