DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — Texas' junior senator is challenging early caucus state voters to back only presidential candidates with a proven conservative track record.

Sen. Ted Cruz tells conservatives gathered at the Iowa Freedom Summit that the standard should be, "Don't talk, show me."

The Republican was among several would-be presidential candidates appearing Saturday at the forum.

There have been a ton of CRAPPY Presidents that had executive experience.

There have been many Senators that became Presidents and did just fine.

The issue isn't executive experience, it's the man or woman who has best shown the quality of leadership where conservative principles/policies/etc. has been shown, as well as, the person who has been the most fearless, the person that has shown the most fidelity to conservative ideals.

I got news for you, it ain't Scott Walker.

Ted Cruz stands head and shoulders above every other potential GOP POTUS candidate except for Sarah Palin.
