Everyone knew about Silver, but no one cleaned it up (Cuomo under scrutiny)
NYPOST.COM ^ | 1/22/15 | MICHAEL GOODWIN

Democrat Gov Andrew Cuomo had a great chance to reveal Albany's systemic corruption. His 2013 Moreland Commission was focused on Democrat Silver’s ties to law firms....but Cuomo abruptly shut it down. The US Atty remains furious at Cuomo and continues to probe Cuomo's actions. Cuomo boasted the panel would dig dirt...trace campaign donations, legislation and pork-barrel spending to connect the dots to corrupt quid pro quos. “We want to see who gives you money, the legislation you introduce and your member items.” He pulled the plug when nervous lawmakers, who had fought the panel’s subpoenas, agreed to toothless ethics rules. It was the biggest mistake of Cuomo’s first term, and now his second term begins with a scandal.

Back in 2004, when Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver blocked passage of the state budget with a series of bizarre objections, a frustrated Republican Gov. George Pataki demanded: “Who is your client?’’ The current 35-page federal complaint against Silver includes his repeated squashing of tort-law reforms; cooperating witnesses may have the goods on other official crooks. 70-year-old Silver---if he sees no way out of his jam---will no doubt sing like a canary.

I would bet Cuomo will get dragged into this investigation and found to be part of this corruption.

DimBlasio weighed in----declared the existence of Silver’s “integrity”

Wasn't that nauseating?

I just read his indictment. He made $121 K annually as a Democra Speaker of the New York House, but “earned” $6 million in “referral fees” as a lawyer.
The indictment says that the prosecutors contacted all clients he “referred” to another firm to receive a “referral fee.” The supposed clients told investigators that they didnt know who this man was and that he never contacted them. The indictment also claims a similar scheme with a real estate law firm. The indictment says that the 6 million actually came from bribes for “favors” and through mail fraud.

This is going to be a hard one for this corrupt politician to beat

One day, they will say the same about Obama. Everyone knew he was a foreigner. Everyone knew he was a Communist. Everyone did nothing about it.

Abortion Worshipper Cuomo has a Master Plan to gain higher office---b/c everybody knows to burnish one's bona fides to get elected, you have to feed the snarling "choice" crowds more and more red meat.

He upped the W/O/W ante w/ profoundly stupid TV ads calling on voters to vote a third party line to “protect” free-for all late-term abortion...endorsed by his "family" which includes his live-in, Braless Chef Sandra Lee.

Andy's a loyal lock-stepping Dimocrat -— they all figure the last refuge of a scoundrel is a woman’s vagina.

10/21 Gov. Cuomo blames a busy day job for new memoir's failure to fly off shelves (Book Flop)
NY Daily News ^ | 10/20/14 | CELESTE KATZ / FR Posted by jimbo123

It's not that Gov. Cuomo's book sales stink, he told reporters Monday -- it's just that his day job keeps him kind of busy when it comes to promoting it. Cuomo's first memoir signing drew fewer than 150 people to the Barnes & Noble in Union Square last Wednesday. His Amazon ratings aren't exactly a blazing constellation of five-star endorsements either. (Excerpt) Read more at nydailynews.com ...

INCONVENIENT FACTOIDS EDITED OUT OF ANDY'S BOOK: Cuomo failed to pass his bar exam FIVE times; he's just another not-so-bright politician looking to shore up his lack of self-esteem on the backs of an electorate he despises.

SCUMMO ALSO FORGET TO INCLUDE THIS IN HIS "LIFE OF THE POLITICALLY INSANE":

Moreland aftermath--Cuomo's Criminal Defense (lawyering up w/ campaign funds)

Gov Cuomo hired a high-priced criminal lawyer to represent his entire office WRT possible witness tampering--paid out of his $35 million campaign fund, because “the governor doesn’t want to have taxpayers pay for this." Cuomo's accused of shutting-down the Moreland Commission because corruption investigations were getting too close to him and his friends.....

Over the years, New York pols paid out more than $7 million in campaign funds to stay out of the pokey.....

Cuomo puts himself in the company of such convicts as former Sens. Carl Kruger and Pedro Espada, sleazy former Assemblyman Vito Lopez and Sen. Malcolm Smith, whose trial is pending.

Four years ago, then-candidate Cuomo pointed to criminal pols in his pledge to clean up Albany. Today, he’s using the very same tactics to defend himself.

So good to know it’s all for the taxpayer! (NY POST)

I don’t think he has a shot at being prez - he’s too local, too obnoxious, has a broad NY accent and is really ugly. Of course, I don’t think Christie has a shot, either. Plus, he’ll lose the Italian-American vote because his main squeeze makes lasagna with ketchup.

The big-picture question is, why is the Obama administration pursuing this. Are they really interested in the welfare of the people of New York, or is this all about taking down Cuomo as a power broker to boost the influence of the Chicago Obamafia?

Maybe Coumo thought that the commission would only go after small fry. Then he could claim that he was cleaning up his own party.

Actually, I have read that Mathilda was disgusted by the recipe. She, apparently, is a good cook.
