The Pro-Life Movement Must Stop Being Whores of the Republican Party
Red State ^ | 1/23/15

I know there are many angered by the title of this post, but the truth hurts. I cannot tell you the number of times I have been to political events where a politician kisses babies and talks Jesus so the pro-lifers in the crowd get thigh sweats and send the politician to Washington. When the politician takes up with his mistress or pays for an abortion or, as Rep. Renee Ellmers (R-NC) did, undermines the pro-life cause, they are just horrified.

But still they return predictable to the GOP for more abuse and disappointment.

Maybe it is time for a third party to give the GOP competition. Yesterday, the GOP threw its base under the bus. The Republicans who claim to support the pro-life movement, including Rep. Renee Ellmers (R-NC) who claimed she’d vote for the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act after she ensured it would not pass, need to be beaten. Rep. Renee Ellmers (R-NC), in particular, must be ruined politically even if it means the pro-life community sends a pro-abortion Democrat in her place. They’ll still have improved the seat by replacing Ellmers with someone who is not a damnable liar.

The pro-life cause must stop acting like the Republican Party's whore and must instead show New Testament grace to the world and Old Testament vengeance to politicians.

The Establishment Republicans hated Reagan 35 years ago, and are palpably more evil today.

This whoring goes both ways, at one very crucial time in recent history one of the players of the so-called Pro-Life movement made a whore out of the Republican Party.

As a result, no other organization can claim as big an effort, and as big a success in forcing ALL Americans to help pay for abortions as can The National Right to Life, NRTL.

They were the organization who blackmailed the House Republicans into voting in favor of ObamaCare on that final, crucial vote. The Republicans were treated no better than a used up whore.

No other organization had as much clout as did NRTL, and no other organization blackmailed the House Republicans on such a wholesale level.

Without NRTL we wouldn’t have ObamaCare, or taxpayers forced to pay for abortions.

NRTL, evil, or just stupid?

I used the phrase “so-called Pro-Life movement” in my post up thread for one simple reason; between the two choices in my final sentence, I don’t think NRTL is stupid.

I thought Erickson was a “reform the party from within” guy. More and more from that camp are rumbling about third parties.
*************
That’s how the Whig party was “reformed”.

Glad to see RINO Central had a wake-up call. Wish Free Republic’s left wing would do likewise.

Standing on principle does mean that you often stand alone though.

Amazing the excuses you come up with to keep RINOs in power. Must tear you up that more people by the day abandon your precious leftists.

BTW, I was right on this too ;)
