Muskogee police on Friday released video of a fatal police shooting captured by an officer's body camera.
Officer Chansey McMillin shot and killed 21-year-old Terence D. Walker on Jan. 17 after Walker allegedly ran from police who confronted him outside the Old Agency Baptist Church.

The perp went down and never moved after that, dum dum rounds?
I’ve had my run ins with the law when I was younger, always did what I was directed to do by them and I’ve never even been handcuffed..........and couple of times I probably should have been. Just sayin’.
ping
Should he wait until the perp shoots someone?
Mine too
This is a justified police shooting
Rule One: All guns are always loaded.
Normally we think of that as a "safe gun-handling" rule, but it applies when someone is pointing a gun at you, too.
“The perp went down and never moved after that, dum dum rounds?”
****************************************************************************************************
“Hollow point” bullets are standard for self-defense and police handguns. They are NOT a bad thing.
Anyone who uses full metal jacket or plated bullets (they don’t expand upon entry” as their self-defense rounds is foolish and is asking to be killed by a merely wounded perp/aggressor.
Lessons learned (too late):
1. Never wear droopy pants that don’t stay up if you intend to possibly run from the police.
2. NEVER pull a weapon on a police officer.
So, no matter WHAT, it can't be a good shoot.
F them, shoot on! Shoot 'em every chance you get and shoot the rioters/looters afterwards.
Every gun is loaded.
THAT’S WHY I SAY HEY MAN, NICE SHOT!
We do know that he wasn’t smoking marijuana, or high on LSD, they don’t do that there.
This guy was clearly up to no good when he broke and ran, running wasn’t a shooting offense but while fleeing in plain sight, he dropped his gun, which was one thing if he had kept running, but while fleeing from the cop who was chasing him with gun drawn, the man stopped to “acquire” a gun, which makes it a gun fight.
The rest of the story will be out soon.
The other guy who kept pushing was lucky there were not other officers there or he would have been cuffed and on the ground for not obeying the officers instructions.
I have a feeling that the anti gun, anti cop folks are going to find they absolutely hate the body cams. This would have been represented as a cop shooting an innocent toddler in the back for walking down the road going home from his sisters wedding without the video evidence.
Good shoot, the bad guy is no longer a danger to anyone, and the officer gets a free vacation.
The statement was made as if the gun was observed to be loaded. A rule of thumb is not necessarily an observed truth. Whether loaded or not in actuality is not relevant to the officer’s action as per that rule of thumb. To be correct you treat a gun as if it is loaded. To be correct with language and reason you don’t state that a gun IS loaded if you don’t KNOW it to be loaded.
Not every gun is loaded. Yes, one should treat every gun as being loaded. Stating that Every Gun Is Loaded as fact is simply lying.
If you'll watch the full 9 minute video and read the article, you'll find out that guy turned out to be a stand-up guy when talking to the ranking officer on-scene, saying the cop did everything right. At first viewing and if you cut it off too soon, I'd agree that a back-up officer would have had him cuffed & stuffed.
OK, man.
Next time a thug points a gun at you or your family, why don’t you ask him if it’s loaded.
Your statement to me is one of the stupidest things I have ever seen stated here.
Every gun is loaded, period.
Article says he was shot in the neck so I’m guessing that was the fatal shot through the Central Nervous System and why he went down hard in the video.
To me, it was an obvious case of a Gang Banger not wanting to be caught. That little town has a huge gang problem. Muskogee is about 20% black so gangs flourish.
The perp went down and didn’t move an inch. I’ve never seen a deer go down like that.
