So now they are running stings?
Anyhow, if 7 of 169 potential buyers had criminal records they were already prohibited from buying.
That is why we have the NICs check.

So, the system worked? Golly.......

How did they determine that the seven were prohibited from buying guns? Is the DOJ running background checks for non-FFL organizations?

The story is krap on its face. There are no online gun sales to non-FFLD- licensed persons. An unlicensed person might run his mouth about buying a gun but it ain’t gonna happen until he/it gets a dealer to do the deal for him.

"turned up seven

"That is why we have the NICs check."Hmmm. Did you support the National Instant Criminal Background Check System when it was proposed? Do you also support it for gun shows and private sales?

The only possible way to enforce private sales is a national gun registry and that aint gonna happen.

That is why we have the NICs check. They are trying to ban private sales without nics checks in VT. That's the point.

And the firearm must be shipped to an authorized dealer where ID is required, again.
Instead of saying they tried, it would be more appropriate to say "They failed"
and the current system worked. Check Mate.
