The Saudis are not known for messy power struggles. Everyone in the family is kept happy by spreading the wealth and power around pretty liberally, and they know that if they aren’t united, they could lose it all.

That leaves Obama unemployed, doesn’t it?

Who will Obama be reporting to, now, and getting his orders from?

Or has Valerie Jarrett always handled communications from the home office to the White House?

That’s the real danger, not that the Sauds start fighting each other, but that their enemies take advantage of this to try and oust them while they are in transition.

With the government in Yemen apparently falling today, and ISIS and Iran both jockeying to be the head of “militant Islam”, the Saudis are in a tricky spot.

Oh yeah, and they also recently pissed off the Russians by driving down oil prices. They’re allied with Iran, Syria, and Hezbollah, and also supply the majority of the arms to Egypt, who is Saudi Arabia’s primary military protector. So that probably doesn’t help.

He fought extremists by letting the kingdom fund them as long they kept it out of the kingdom. He bought American congressfools left and right. He let the wahabbists spread all over America and funded all their mosque building.
Oh, and he stood for every antithesis of the US Constitution and the founders. He would let you be beheaded of you opened a church or synagogue in his country.

With “Pro American” guys like him, we don’t need enemies.

Okay, but since he has been sick so long, I am betting the transfer of power has already taken place long ago.

“ISIS is a militant Shiite group.”

No, ISIS are Sunni, just an even more “fundamentalist” flavor of Sunni than the usual Saudi Wahhabis.

'Some time before 9/11, Prince Bandar bin Sultan, once the powerful Saudi ambassador in Washington and head of Saudi intelligence until a few months ago, had a revealing and ominous conversation with the head of the British Secret Intelligence Service, MI6, Sir Richard Dearlove. Prince Bandar told him: "The time is not far off in the Middle East, Richard, when it will be literally 'God help the Shia'. More than a billion Sunnis have simply had enough of them."'

Why should WE follow their customs? Why isn’t he told Americans will think you are a homo if you try to kiss a man? Why isn’t the Queen of England told Americans do not follow court protocol?

Why are we always the ones having to give in. If we admit they are all lesser peoples, then cool. That would be like not scaring a savage. But if we do it out of respect, that’s wrong unless they show us the same deference and respect.
