White House: Netanyahu Visit a ‘Departure from Protocol’ (well done, Mr. Speaker!!)

White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest reacted to the news that House Speaker John Boehner had invited Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to speak to a joint session of Congress, calling it a “departure from protocol.”

“The typical protocol would suggest that the leader of a country would contact the leader of another country when he is traveling there and that’s certainly is how President Obama’s trips are planned when we travel overseas,” he said. “This particular event seems to be a departure from that protocol.”

Netanyahu’s visit was announced earlier this morning after Obama’s State of the Union address. Earnest said that the White House found out about the trip shortly before Boehner’s announcement.

Earnest said that the White House “hadn’t heard directly from the Israelis at all” and didn’t know if the Prime Minster would be visiting the White House during his trip.

“We’ll need to hear from them about what their plans are and what he plans to say in his remarks to Congress before we have a decision to make about any meeting,” Earnest explained, pointing out that the White House would “reserve judgement” about the trip until they had conversations with Israeli officials.

Well, they do have a way of letting just anyone in through the front door.

Boehner, do NOT walk anything back for the sake of diplomacy. The sooner this happens the better. If Obama knows too far in advance when Bibi will be speaking, Obama is petty enough to spend the day Golfing ALONE.

If Obama did snub the Israel and go golfing, would it be ‘funny’ if Bibi invited himself to that same golf course? He’s certainly ballsy enough to think about it. I would laugh my head off to see the look on Obola’s face (stoney), when Bibi crashes his little party.

They just have to fumigate the Speaker's podium in the House first to get rid of the stench left behind from Barry's vermin, so that a real leader can take the dais.

"the Congress recently elected by the American people is opposed to such an agreement and understands what is at stake"

Without the formal agreement of 2/3 of the Senate, any agreement with Iran is limited to Obama's term in office...IF Congress allows him the monies to abide.

In other words, it's not worth the shot and powder to blow it hell.

Just tell Obozo:

Let me be clear, this is Unprecedented and Historic and there are those that will say things that are obviously Israeli-Phobic coming from the White House.

The entire Obama Regime is a departure from protocol.

“The typical protocol would suggest that the leader of a country would contact the leader of another country...”

But since we don't have a leader, William of Orange had to do it himself.

I would LOVE to see o.oobungler do that! PM Harper here, would be more than happy to have Bibi visit Canada. I'm sure he would welcome Pubbie members of Congress to meet with Bibi in Calgary or some other Canadian city. It would be a great embarrassment to the Won who doesn't embarrass, and a great response to the six year Keystone delay!

Unfortunately, this will never happen. The higher ups in the Dhimmi party know that such an event would lose them millions in donations from 'cultural' Jews.

Compare and contrast:

Yes, and Boehner invited Netanyahu to speak to Congress in 2011 too.

Excellent. But don’t bet the ranch that John Boy has mended his ways. He just wanted to shove something large up BO’s rear and Bibi drew the short straw!

“...didn’t know if the Prime Minster would be visiting the White House during his trip.”

After the way he was treated the last time, why in the world would Bibi want to visit the White Hut and the POS occupant again?

“the leader of a country would contact the leader of another country”

The President is NOT the leader of this country. He is the elected head of the Executive Branch of our government. The Speaker leads the House and has as much a leadership position as the president.

After his meeting with Congress he should just get on his plane and leave. Two can play that snubbing game.
