Alan Gross and his wife Judy are expected to be guests of Mrs. Obama.

Gross is the U.S. citizen who badmouthed his own country mere hours after being freed from Cuba. After the Obama administration arranged a prisoner swap to free him, Gross attacked the U.S. for “unjustly” mistreating the Cuban people by applying trade sanctions for decades.

Gross was reportedly a subcontractor for the U.S. Agency for International Development, a home for meddling leftist crackpots. He reportedly worked on a program aimed at improving Internet access for Cuban Jews. The free flow of information is a threat to any totalitarian regime, so a Cuban court convicted Gross of crimes against the state in 2011, imposing a 15-year prison sentence.

Another honoree is Obamacare booster Larry Merlo, CEO of CVS Health. An insufferable do-gooder, Merlo takes credit for making CVS the first major retail pharmacy chain to eliminate tobacco sales in all its stores.

Mexican-born illegal alien Ana Zamora, who has benefited from President Obama’s extra-legal Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), will be watching the speech with the First Lady.

Global warming propagandist Nicole Hernandez Hammer is also a guest of Mrs. Obama. Hammer, who is paid to peddle climate change nonsense, hits the politically correct trifecta: she’s female, foreign-born, and Latino.

“As a sea-level researcher, Nicole Hernandez Hammer has studied how the cities and regions most vulnerable to the effects of climate change and sea-level rise also have large Hispanic populations — something she learned firsthand growing up in South Florida,” according to the White House website. “A Guatemalan immigrant with Cuban heritage, today Nicole works to mobilize the Latino community to better understand and address climate change’s disproportionate effects on the health of Hispanics.”

This year the speech is being written by Cody Keenan, a White House staff speechwriter Obama has dubbed “Hemingway,” not because he is a great crafter of prose, but because he has been known to sport a thick beard like the literary giant Ernest Hemingway.........

Since the Obama administration is dismantling the U.S. space program, Scott Kelly is window dressing so that his sister-in-law Gabby Giffords [GUN CONTROL] can be brought into this progressive poison apple of a State of the Union Address.

Obama's approval ratings re-approach 50% and the right offers inside baseball on the Eve of the state of the union propaganda tour de force.

So far the Republican establishment has thrown away the power of the purse, the power of impeachment, and now has thrown away the right to deny Obama the bully pulpit. How many trespasses on our liberty must Obama commit before the Republicans will do something, anything? They cannot even muster a coherent attack on Obama's economy before the state of the union message so that Obama is thrown on the defensive. Instead he will tell millions of underinformed voters that employment is increasing and gasoline prices are decreasing and he will accept credit.

His approval ratings will exceed 50% tomorrow or the day after and most of America will be happy to believe that America is back on track.

God help us because the Republican establishment will not.

I never abide or give credibility to these “new polls reveal” bull swipe.
Why is no one continually pointing out that Obamacare does not apply to the elected officials? All animals are equal, some animals are more equal than others? It’s right out of Animal Farm. I bet most of the “ignunt” class don’t even know that the politicians are exempt.

The GOP can offer relief to the middle class: How about putting a bill on Obama’s desk eliminating all the Fees (dare we say taxes) imposed for failure to purchase health insurance. Remind everyone he vetoed “..tax relief for the less fortunate” every time he tries to raise taxes in the future.

Nope, you need to read Alinsky. The best way to deal with a narcissist like Obama is ridicule. They should establish a drinking game for the class warfare code words. They don't have to actually drink, just tip an imaginary bottle. The best possible outcome would be for all of them to bust out laughing all at once when he gets to a score of 100 talking points. The media would be furious of course and that's exactly where we need them to be.
