The White House wants President Obama to play the part of Robin Hood at Tuesday’s State of the Union address.
Obama hopes to use the big speech to remove a blemish of his presidency: an economic recovery that has left wage growth behind.
Obama wants to move forward with all of these populist proposals for the poor and middle class, and he wants to do so by taking from the rich in the form of higher taxes on the wealthy and Wall Street.

Somebody don’t know the story of Robin Hood. Robin Hood took back the money stolen from the little people by the tax collectors and returned it to the people it was stolen from. Nope. The Kenyan ain’t Robin Hood. Robbing Thief maybe but not Robin Hood.

Are they saying a building is trying to influence policy? What does a building know?

Obama’s proposals will hurt job growth, and his tax credits for child care will not help those who have a parent staying at home with the kids. Along with his universal child care idea, this will force more women into the work force and land the kiddies in government-run daycare from the time they are born. Hitler would love it.

He didn’t exactly steal from King John. He repatriated taxes extracted and gave them back to those they were confiscated from. You could say Robin Hood was the original tea partier.
