Somebody should recommend he read/watch “Enemy at the Gates: the Battle for Stalingrad”.
This is the fictional story about two snipers trying to outfox and kill each other during the siege of Stalingrad during WWII. I thought it was a great movie(except for the Russians having English accents).

I have not seen American Sniper yet. I read the book when it first came out. However, I did just watch “boyhood” this weekend on pay per view. This movie should win Best Picture(IMHO).
To my knowledge there has never been a movie like “boyhood” done before. It was filmed over TWELVE years(2002-2014) with the same actors. The main character Mason is six years old at the beginning. It follows him and his family until he goes to college. It was filmed on location in Texas, not Hollywood. It is a low budget film by the IFC network. There are two semi famous actors that play supporting roles in the film: Patricia Arquet and Ethan Hawke. They play Masons’ parents. The fact that they could keep these actors together and film a new segment as they aged a year or two is quite incredible.

Considering the source, I’m not surprised or impressed, moore has done absolutely nothing that wasn’t an outright lie based on a small truth and as for rogan I just ran down the IMDb for him and reaffirmed that aside for some voice work in some animation there is not a freakin thing he has ever done that I have wanted to watch or finished watching once started. If these two are the best oprah can come up with to attack American Sniper, well harpo has been harpooned.

Short answer, yes. My nephew is the personal aide of a Hollywood Star who is a member of the Academy. They’re shipped all the DVDs well in advance. He saw American Sniper about 3 months ago.

That said, the movie was released in December in both LA and NY specifically so it could make the 2014 Oscars so many have seen it prior to this weekend.

as for moore, if his grandfather was as fat as michael, well the sniper who killed him should be credited for a half a kill only. Can’t imagine it takes much skill to take out someone as fat as moore.
