Seth Rogen, Michael Moore Slam 'American Sniper'

Despite its box office success and multiple Oscar nominations, not everyone is a fan of American Sniper.

Documentary director Michael Moore shared his views Sunday of the Clint Eastwood movie, starring Bradley Cooper, which follows real-life Navy SEAL sniper Chris Kyle's life on and off the battlefield. "My uncle killed by sniper in WW2," the Fahrenheit 9/11 star tweeted. "We were taught snipers were cowards. Will shoot u in the back. Snipers aren't heroes. And invaders r worse."

That fat F^ck is a hypocritical ba$tard. He's a 1% who should give away his money, go on a diet, move to Iraq and let ISIS behead him.

On another note, I saw the movie this weekend. While I enjoyed it and while it was much closer to the book than Lone Survivor, I don't think it will win Best Picture Oscar. I don't intend on seeing all the nominated movies, but the movie itself did not blow me away. It was very good and it was entertaining. It did a wonderful job of highlighting the pressure and stress that our combat troops (families included) go through to do their jobs and keep us all safe. I wish people like Fatboy would just say thanks and shut the hell up.

Bradley Cooper was amazing and I can easily see him winning for Best Actor. He looked great and was very intense.

The British redcoats hated American revolutionaries because the Americans would actually try to kill British officers on the battlefield. Very unsporting, don't you think?

The the aristocracy still hasn't changed. They still hate freedom, and they still hate their most effective opponents.

These idiots are free to say whatever they want -- because we have Freedom of the Press in this country.

And here's how we got our Freedom of the Press:

"Snipers aren't heroes"

To whichever of those two lowlife's made this statement, I say:

Bet your perspective might change if one of them picked off someone holding a knife to your throat. On the other hand, you will always be a pathetic loser...

I see Rogen’s comment as more of an attempt at humor than serious political argument. The guy is a comedic writer after all.

Moore is serious as the heart attack he’s long overdue.

Seth Rogan just made a (propaganda) bad film about killing the dictator of North Korea I think.

Actually, the movie was about how TV personalities (talking heads, movie stars, etc) would do anything to be famous, even kill the leader of another country.

AND.... because that isn’t bad(and true) enough, they became close friends with that leader and yet still killed him to achieve their fame.

SO... it was really a movie about how far ‘stars’ will go to keep their fame and fortune.

The ‘killing’ of the leader (Lil Kim) was so minimized that most people I know who have seen the film, don’t remember the actual death scene (even though it was in slow motion).

No, it's a generic term for the place you stick a suppository.

I do not know the inner-workings of Hollyweird but I have a related question:

How can a movie which was just released last week already have Oscar nominations? Are all movie-connected people or people wh do nominations in Hollyweird able to see the movie before general release? How does that work?
