Jacksons roll on the movie D’Jango) I’m no supporter of MLK’s movement or the film because in my opinion it creates the narrative that in order for darker complected ppl to be considered equal to their white counterparts (not the average white person,but the ones that REALLY pull the strings in this nation) one has to lose their own identity,self worth & own values to conform to their so called superiors way of life (Where is that EQUALITY?) Our so-called integration into a fair & balanced American Society was really only an assimilation to our oppressors rule. We are forced to learn only a European history (which for most part is not accurate) and their European culture & not taught our own.(Again is that EQUALITY?) Thanks in part of MLK’s so-called dream to leave it in the hands of the oppressor to teach us what they essentially robbed us of in the 1st place We could end racism in this country tomorrow if they taught the real truth & history in schools across this nation today.MLK may have been a good man, but he was no Moses...
Oh & Mr Marcus what your beloved Rush Limbaugh failed to mention is that according to the Bureau Of Justice Statistics it shows that most crime is Instra-Racial. The statistics show that 83% of white ppl are killed by other white ppl.Crime is often associated with proximity,which means your more likely to be offended or the offendervby the ppl you live in proximity with..So in other words you cant say black on black crime without acknowledging white on white crime as well..But as Edward Burnays would say WE ALL OUR SHEEPLE controlled by our irrational thoughts by the ppl we dont even know..So to sum it all up white ppl ya’ll are N’words too, just with less melanin in your skin

What is it with blacks of your ilk, chacha, who believe that blacks can't be black and Americans, too.
Because you're not rejecting "white values", you're rejecting American values. Values that have been adopted and shared by every ethnicity that legally immigrated to America -- be they Irish, Italian, Polish, Asian or Latin.
Get an education. Work hard. Be responsible. Respect authority. Teach your children the same. Among others, these are all American values -- not white values. Adopting them doesn't require anybody to sacrifice their identity or self-worth -- as is evidenced by the presence of numerous Chinatowns, Polish neighborhoods, Italian festivals, etc.
One can celebrate one's own ethnicity and, at the same time, practice American values.

If I recollect correctly, every major university offers a curriculum called "Black Studies". I wouldn't know for sure, but I assume most of the professors are black. All blacks who care to attend college are free to major in Black Studies. So, what's the problem? Other than the fact there are no jobs for graduates with a degree in Black Studies? Which isn't necessarily discriminatory, because there are no jobs waiting for graduates with a degree in Gender Studies, either.
