Worse - they are door-to-door salespeople. And sleazy ones at that. I live in NYC, and get knocks on my door at least once or twice a month from ESCO salespeople trying to get me to switch from Con Ed. If my experience with them is representative, let's just say that these companies aren't hiring the cream of the crop.
